Permabond ET5145 Food Grade Epoxy Adhesive – White 1:1 Structural Epoxy
High-strength, FDA-compliant two-part epoxy for food-contact equipment, appliances, and demanding structural bonding applications.
Permabond ET5145 is a tough, slow-curing 1:1 epoxy adhesive designed for applications that need strong bonding, excellent durability, and additional working time for positioning parts.
Its thick, thixotropic consistency helps the adhesive stay where it is applied while filling gaps up to 0.08 in. (2 mm). Once cured, ET5145 forms a strong bond with excellent resistance to impact, vibration, water, cleaning fluids, and everyday environmental exposure.

Why Choose ET5145?
-
FDA-Compliant Food-Contact Formulation – Meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105 and 175.300
-
White Cured Epoxy – A clean appearance well suited for food-processing and equipment applications
-
50–80 Minute Working Life – Provides plenty of time for positioning, alignment, and larger assemblies
-
High Structural Strength – Up to 3,000 psi shear strength on mild steel
-
Thick, Non-Sagging Consistency – Ideal for vertical surfaces and gaps up to 2 mm
-
Excellent Impact & Vibration Resistance

Bonds metal, wood, composites, ceramics, glass, and certain plastics
What Does "Food Safe" Mean?
Permabond ET5145 has been specifically formulated using materials suitable for regulated food-contact applications and complies with FDA 21 CFR 175.105 and 175.300.
In practical terms, this makes ET5145 a strong choice for bonding and sealing components used in food-processing equipment, appliances, filters, housings, and other assemblies where the fully cured adhesive may come into contact with food or beverages.
This rating applies to the fully cured adhesive in appropriate food-contact applications. It does not mean uncured epoxy is safe for food contact or consumption, and suitability should always be confirmed for the conditions of the finished application.
Popular Applications
ET5145 is commonly used for:
-
Food-processing and packaging equipment
-
Commercial kitchen and appliance components
-
Filter and screen assemblies
-
Stainless steel and aluminum fabrication
-
Equipment housings, brackets, and structural components
-
General industrial bonding where FDA food-contact compliance is required
