Maven EA 2014 is a Beige-Grey colored two component, room temperature curing, thixotropic Epoxy adhesive (Thick Gel that will also fill crevices). It is high-strength and very tough, with excellent environmental and chemical resistance. It is It performs well bonding to metals, electronic components, plastics, and where higher operating temperature or aggressive environmental conditions apply. And it's uniquely capable of providing decent bond strength to PTFE/Teflon, as it includes chemical etch-ants, that prepares the PTFE like other separate primer products do.
It produces very little 'out gassing' when curing, and is suitable for specialized electronics, telecommunications, and aerospace applications. Work Time: 60 minutes Handling Strength: 3 hours Color: Beige Grey & Dries: Beige Grey Viscosity: Gel/Paste (yet thixotropic, so also fills voids and crevices)

Please Note:
The 50ml Cartridges are 2:1 ratio, and are designed to work best with a 50ml cartridge Dispenser with a 2:1 ratio plunger. We strongly advise you use a 50ml Dispenser WITH a 2:1 ratio plunger for this cartridges. If you do not have one, please check out our 2:1 ratio Dispensers, all are excellent products and have our 'it's good' seal of approval. If you prefer not to use a Dispenser, then we recommend considering one of our 50ml Kits that include a variety of different accessories that you may need for fast small jobs.
The 200ml Cartridges are 2:1 ratio, and are designed to work best with a 200ml cartridge Dispenser with a 2:1 ratio plunger. We strongly advise you use a 200ml Dispenser WITH a 2:1 ratio plunger for this cartridges. If you do not have one, please check out our 2:1 ratio Dispensers, all are excellent products and have our 'it's good' seal of approval.
And the Quart Kit is a 2:1 ratio kit also, totaling 1 quart of material. The kit is comprised of 2/3 quart of part A, and 1/3 quart of part B, and the two comprises 1 quart in total once mixed together.

Product Name
Maven EA 2014 High-Temp Chemical-Proof Epoxy Gel
Brief Description
Maven EA 2014 is a beige-grey, two-component, room-temperature curing, thixotropic epoxy adhesive gel. It is formulated for high-strength, toughness, and excellent environmental and chemical resistance, performing well under higher operating temperatures and aggressive environmental conditions. This product is uniquely capable of bonding to difficult plastics like PTFE/Teflon due to included chemical etchants.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Industrial applications requiring high-temperature resistance and chemical-proof properties.- Repairing equipment and tools subjected to heat and chemicals.- Bonding metals, plastics, and electronic components.- Bonding PTFE/Teflon without a separate primer.- Encapsulating and potting electronic components.- Bonding composite materials in aircraft structures.- Sealing and bonding exhaust system components in automotive.- Repairing cracks or leaks in engine blocks and other metal components.- Anchoring and doweling in concrete.- Coating and sealing in marine environments.- Molding and casting durable parts and tools.
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Aerospace/Defense- Automotive Service/Repair- Chemical Industry- Construction/ Building Services- Electrical Services or Products- Energy (including Petroleum Industry, Products or Services, and Power Generation Plants)- Engineering Services- Fabrication (Metal and Plastic)- General Manufacturing- Government & Military- Industrial Supply- Marine- Mold Making/ Casting- Prosumer (for DIY projects and hobbyists)- Transportation/ Specialty Vehicle
Special and Unique Features
- High-strength and tough epoxy adhesive.- Cures at room temperature with a 60-minute working time.- Excellent adhesion to metals, plastics, and electronic components.- Unique capability for bonding PTFE/Teflon without a separate primer, due to included chemical etchants.- Minimal out-gassing during curing, suitable for sensitive applications.- Thixotropic gel (thick gel designed to also fill cracks & crevices), non-slumping up to 10mm thickness.- High shear and peel strength.- Low shrinkage characteristics.
Key Properties
- High-Temperature Resistance: Formulated to withstand extreme temperatures, ensuring durability in harsh environments.- Chemical-Proof Formula: Offers superior protection against a wide range of chemicals, including water, salt spray, inorganic acids and bases, and most organic solvents.- High-strength and toughness.- Room temperature curing.- Thixotropic (non-sagging gel).- Excellent environmental resistance.- Good adhesion to a wide variety of materials.- Working time of 60 minutes, handling strength in 3 hours, full cure in 24 hours at room temperature.
Surface Compatibility
- Metals- Plastics (including rigid plastics, GRP, Polyamide, SMC, and uniquely PTFE/Teflon)- Electronic components- Ceramics- Rubbers- PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards)- Concrete (for anchoring, repair, and coatings)- Composites- Fiberglass
Known backups / known substitutes
- Araldite 2014 (Maven EA 2014 is described as a "Backup Formula for Araldite 2014" or "Backup/Substitute Formulas: Araldite 2014 formula").- Other high-temperature resistant epoxies.- Polyester or polyurethane resins (less expensive but with less tensile strength and temperature resistance).- Vinyl ester resin (cheaper than epoxy, often used for fiberglass boats).
Comparison Note
Maven EA 2014 is a high-performance, high-temperature, chemical-proof epoxy gel offering comparable performance to Araldite 2014, often at a potentially lower cost. Unlike general-purpose adhesives or quick-setting glues, it is specifically engineered for demanding industrial and specialized applications requiring superior resistance to heat and chemicals, and a longer working time for precise application. While alternatives like polyester or vinyl ester resins exist, they typically offer lower tensile strength and temperature resistance.
