The MedMix MixPac Retaining Cap Assembly (Red Plug + Retaining Nut 7/8-inch 9-thread-count) is used to close and seal filled cartridges that use 9-thread-count threads for mixing nozzles and sealing caps.
This is the standard replacement cap assembly for all MixPac C-system and J-system cartridges.
MixPac Part Number: UMQ 10-S1 (162689)
The red plug can also be removed, and the retaining nut be then used to hold/down and secure bell-style mixing nozzles.
But keep the red plug, because it is needed to re-close the cartridge if needed.
