Permabond MH199 is a red, thixotropic, anaerobic curing flange sealant designed to create "formed-in-situ" gaskets between rigid metal surfaces. It cures in the absence of air when confined between close-fitting metal parts, providing a tough, resilient, and solvent-resistant seal.

Surface Compatibility
- Primarily designed for metal-to-metal applications.- Performs best on clean steel.- Satisfactory on most metals including anodized aluminum, stainless steel, brass, oily and "as received" finishes, and plated fasteners.- Copper and its alloys accelerate cure.- Oxidized or passivated surfaces (like stainless steel, aluminum, zinc) may reduce cure speed; activators (Permabond A905 or ASC10) can be used.- Not recommended for use in contact with oxygen, oxygen-rich systems, and other strong oxidizing materials.- May adversely affect some thermoplastics; compatibility check is required.
