The Stop It® Pipe Repair System is the ultimate industrial-grade solution for emergency leak repairs, pipe reinforcement, and corrosion control. This composite system utilizes a strong knitted fiberglass tape precoated with fast-setting, water-activated urethane resins, combined with FIX STIX™, a hand-moldable steel-filled epoxy.

Designed for critical situations in petrochemical, industrial, marine, and military environments, Stop It® restores product flow in as little as 30 minutes. It requires no special tools and no hot work, allowing a single person to repair leaks in the field instantly. It is capable of repairing active pinhole leaks up to 50 psi without shutting down the line, and once cured, it handles pressures up to 400 psi and continuous temperatures up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

The system is compatible with a vast range of chemicals, including hydrocarbons, steam, acids, and bases. The included FIX STIX™ epoxy is NSF certified for use on potable water systems. Whether you are dealing with copper, steel, PVC, or fiberglass pipes, Stop It® provides a permanent, structural repair even in underwater applications.

Key Features:

  • 30-Minute Return to Service: Fast-curing resins allow for tack-free set in 3 to 5 minutes and full cure in 30 minutes.
  • Universal Compatibility: Works on steel, copper, aluminum, galvanized, black iron, stainless steel, PVC, ABS, and fiberglass.
  • High Performance: Withstands pressures up to 400 psi and continuous temperatures from -20°F to 250°F.
  • Complete Kit: Includes fiberglass tape, FIX STIX™ epoxy, gloves, and instructions.
  • Potable Water Safe: The included epoxy is NSF certified.
  • Underwater Repair: Can be applied to submerged pipes or in splash zones.
  • Chemical Resistance: Excellent resistance to fuels, organics, slurries, and petrochemicals.

Surface Preparation & Application Notes:

Proper preparation is critical for success.

  • Metals: Remove scale and paint to a bright metal finish, then degrease.
  • PVC and ABS: Sand to remove mold release (surface should look dull) and degrease.
  • HDPE, Polypropylene, and PVDF: Requires the use of InduMar Adhesion Promoter AP125 (Sold Separately) for a successful seal.
  • Active Leaks: Use the included FIX STIX™ to plug the leak before wrapping.
  • General Application: Knead epoxy, plug leak, wet the fiberglass roll, wrap tightly, and polish the resins into the weave until curing begins.

Kit Selection Guide:

  • Pipe Diameter 0.5 to 1.5 inch: Use 2" x 4' kit (24786)
  • Pipe Diameter 2 to 4 inch: Use 2" x 12' kit (21278) or 4" x 12' kit (41278) depending on pressure
  • Pipe Diameter 5 to 6 inch: Use 4" x 12' kit (41278)
  • Pipe Diameter 8 to 18 inch: Use 4" x 25' kit (42578)
