SCIGRIP 42 Low VOC Acrylic Adhesive – 10:1 Cartridge
SCIGRIP 42 is a clear, two-component, reactive acrylic adhesive designed for high-quality acrylic bonding where clarity retention matters. It is especially formulated for bonding acrylic, including extruded, cell cast, continuous cast, molded acrylic parts, and some cross-linked sheet. It can also bond acrylic to polyester, cellulose acetate butyrate, polycarbonate, and other compatible materials.
This adhesive is a popular choice for sign fabrication, aquarium manufacturing and repair, museum-quality display cases, plastics fabrication, and other applications requiring a strong, clear acrylic bond.

Recommended Dispenser for 50 ml Cartridges
For 50 ml cartridges, we recommend the Maven MS-50 dispensing gun kit from Perigee Direct. The Maven MS-50 is designed for precise dispensing of 50 ml epoxy and adhesive cartridges and supports common mix ratios including 1:1, 2:1, 3:2, 4:1, and 10:1.
Recommended dispenser: Maven MS-50 Dispensing Gun Kit
Directions for Use
Always wear safety glasses and disposable polyethylene gloves. Load the cartridge into a compatible adhesive dispenser and remove the nose plugs by unscrewing the retaining nut. Dispense a small amount of resin and catalyst to confirm both materials flow freely from the cartridge. Attach the static mixer tip and secure the retaining nut.
Discard the first 6–12 inches of mixed material before use. Always use a new mixer tip. Never force material through a blocked opening or a used mixer tip.
When the cartridge is not fully used, the mixer tip may be left in place temporarily to reseal the cartridge. To restore the cartridge for later use, remove the used mixer tip, clean the threaded areas thoroughly, and ensure there is no crossover of the two components. Remove any blockages from the nose area, but do not force blockages back into the cartridge.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a cool, dry place between 50°F and 80°F / 10°C and 27°C. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flame, direct sunlight, and other ignition sources. Keep container closed when not in use. One-year shelf life is expected when stored properly.
Safety Information
WARNING: Flammable. Vapor harmful. May be harmful if swallowed. May irritate skin or eyes.
Use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Wear appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and protective clothing. Keep out of reach of children. Read and follow the Safety Data Sheet before use.
Popular Uses for SCIGRIP 42
SCIGRIP 42 is a popular choice for professional acrylic and plastics fabrication where a strong, clear, high-quality bond is required. Its two-part reactive acrylic formula is especially useful for applications where clarity retention, strength, and reliable performance are important.
Acrylic Fabrication
SCIGRIP 42 is commonly used for bonding acrylic sheets, molded acrylic parts, extruded acrylic, cell cast acrylic, continuous cast acrylic, and some cross-linked acrylic sheet. It is well suited for fabricators who need clean, strong joints with excellent visual clarity.
Sign Making
Because SCIGRIP 42 bonds acrylic and other plastics with good clarity retention, it is a strong option for sign shops working with acrylic letters, dimensional signage, display panels, and plastic sign components.
Aquarium Manufacturing & Repair
SCIGRIP 42 is often used in aquarium manufacturing and repair applications where acrylic bonding strength and clarity are critical. Its clear adhesive line helps maintain a professional-looking finish on acrylic assemblies.
Museum Cases & Display Cases
