Product Name
RITTER ACF Helix Mixing Nozzle for 200ml or 400ml ACF Cartridge Ratios 1:1 or 2:1
Brief Description
The RITTER ACF Helix Mixing Nozzle is a disposable static mixing nozzle featuring a helix design, specifically engineered for the efficient and homogeneous blending of two-component adhesives and sealants. It is designed for use with 200ml or 400ml ACF cartridges, accommodating common mixing ratios of 1:1 or 2:1.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Bonding and sealing various materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.- Potting and encapsulating electronic components.- Structural bonding applications requiring high-strength bonds.- Seam sealing in automotive and general industrial applications.- Mixing polyester resins for fiberglass and composite manufacturing.- Facilitating circuit assembly with conductive adhesives.- Essential for the correct installation of two-component chemical anchors.
Industries that Commonly Use It
- General Manufacturing- Automotive Service/Repair- Construction/Building Services- LED/Electronics Manufacturing (for bonding, potting, and encapsulating)- Aerospace/Defense (for high-performance adhesive applications)- Medical Device/Prosthetics (for precision bonding and assembly)- Metal Fabrication- Plastic Fabrication- Mold Making/Casting (for resins and potting compounds)- Distributers & Resellers- Engineering Services
Special and Unique Features
- Features a helix design with multiple mixing elements (e.g., 18 or 24 elements) to ensure consistent and homogeneous mixing of two-part materials.- Specifically designed to complement the Ritter ACF-Cartridge system.- Offers versatile compatibility with a wide range of mixing ratios, including 1:1 and 2:1.- Disposable design allows for single-use, minimizing cleanup and preventing cross-contamination.- Engineered to reduce material waste by minimizing retained volume (e.g., 16.4ml for a 10-24 nozzle, 12.8ml for a 10-18 nozzle).- Enables precise and controlled dispensing of mixed materials.- Designed for quick and hassle-free installation and replacement.
Key Properties
- Provides efficient and thorough mixing of two-part compounds, ensuring a uniform product.- Guarantees optimal adhesive performance by achieving the correct and consistent stoichiometry of components.- Significantly reduces potential errors associated with manual mixing processes.- Constructed from durable plastic polymers suitable for various adhesive types.- Available in various lengths and inner diameters to suit specific application needs (e.g., 277mm length, 3mm inner diameter for 10-24; 219mm length, 3mm inner diameter for 10-18).- Contains a specific number of internal mixing elements, such as 18 or 24, to facilitate thorough blending.
Surface Compatibility
- Compatible with a broad range of surfaces typically bonded by two-component epoxies, polyurethanes, silicones, and acrylics. This includes, but is not limited to, various metals, plastics, composites, glass, and concrete, depending on the specific adhesive formulation being used.
Known backups / known substitutes
- Other brands of static mixing nozzles, such as Sulzer MIXPAC, Medmix, Kenics, and Tab mixers, offer similar functionality.- Quadro mixing elements/nozzles, which feature a square-shaped grid design, provide an alternative internal mixing geometry.- Manual mixing, though less precise and prone to errors, can be a backup for non-critical applications where consistent mixing is not paramount.
Comparison Note
The Ritter ACF Helix Mixing Nozzle, like other static mixing nozzles, offers a significant advantage over manual mixing for two-component adhesives by ensuring consistent, homogeneous, and repeatable blending. This precision is critical for achieving the adhesive's specified properties, cure, and ultimate bond strength. The helix design is a well-established and effective method for mixing a wide range of fluid viscosities.
