Surface Compatibility
- Can be used on most surfaces, although one substrate must be clear for UV light to pass through- Surfaces should be clean, dry, and grease-free before applying the adhesive- Particular care should be taken to remove silicone-based cleaning agents- Some metals such as aluminum, copper, and its alloys, will benefit from light abrasion with emery cloth to remove the oxide layer- Isopropanol can be used to degrease most surfaces- Where thermoplastic surfaces are involved, tests are recommended to ensure compatibility, as mold release agents may affect bond strength- Commonly used with plastics, rubbers, ceramics, glass, and metal substrates
