Take control of vertical bonding and gap filling with Permabond MS359. This high-performance MS Polymer adhesive features a non-sag, paste-like consistency that stays exactly where you apply it, making it ideal for overhead and vertical applications. It cures to a tough, permanently flexible bond with excellent weather resistance, adhesion to diverse substrates like metal, glass, and wood, and a convenient 10-20 minute set time—all without the need for primers or solvents
Permabond MS Polymers are single component, hybrid technology adhesives that moisture cure at ambient temperature. The high elongation and flexible nature of these strong bonds meet the demands of stress from impact, peel and expansion that can occur when bonding dissimilar materials. They have excellent environmental resistance and remain very flexible.
PERMABOND MS359 GREY and CLEAR are two formulas that perform similarly. Both are single-part, room temperature curing MS polymer adhesive. They are ideal for use on a wide variety of substrate materials including metals, plastics and composites. And are ideal for exterior construction applications (e.g. frames and fascias) as it has excellent resistance to weathering.
This product differs from the MS359 A 290ML. This product is thick gel/paste and non-sag non-drip, whereas the MS359A low viscosity and self-leveling. If you would prefer self-leveling, please visit the MS359A product page.

Product Name: Permabond MS359 Grey & Clear MS Polymer Medium Set 10 - 20 min Cartridge (Non-Sag)
Permabond MS359 is a single-part, high-viscosity MS polymer adhesive designed for structural bonding and sealing applications where a non-sag consistency is required. Unlike its self-leveling counterpart (MS359A), this paste-like formula stays in place on vertical or overhead surfaces without running, making it ideal for gap filling and positioning parts. It cures via ambient moisture to form a tough, permanently flexible bond that offers exceptional resistance to weathering and UV exposure.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Vertical bonding of panels, signs, and facias in construction.
- Sealing joints and seams in transportation vehicles (buses, trains, trucks).
- Bonding glass and glazing where a clear, non-yellowing aesthetic is needed (Clear version).
- General industrial assembly where parts cannot be easily clamped or are vertical.
- Gap filling in uneven or mismatched assemblies.
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Construction and Architecture
- Transportation (Specialty Vehicles, Rail, Marine)
- Signage and Display
- General Industrial Manufacturing
- HVAC (Sealing ductwork)
Special and Unique Features
- Non-sag (thixotropic) paste consistency allows for vertical and overhead application.
- Excellent resistance to UV light and weathering, making it suitable for exterior use.
- Primer-free adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, glass, and composites.
- Remains flexible to accommodate thermal expansion and vibration.
- Free from isocyanates and silicones; can be painted over after curing.

- Sikaflex 521 UV (Weather resistant MS Polymer)
- Loctite Teroson MS 939 (Industrial MS Polymer)
Comparison Note
- The critical difference between Permabond MS359 and MS359A is viscosity. MS359 is a non-sag paste designed for vertical surfaces and gap filling where the adhesive needs to hold its shape. MS359A is a flowable, self-leveling liquid designed to spread out and coat horizontal surfaces. Both offer similar weather resistance and flexibility, so the choice depends entirely on whether you need the adhesive to flow (A) or stay put (Non-Sag).
