Specifications:
- 8mm inner diameter helix, round nozzle style
- 10-inch nozzle length
- 24-element count (24 mixing cycles for the material)
- Bell Style inlet fitting
- For all Medium and Thicker viscosities, 80,000 cP or higher
- Recommended for Epoxy, Silicone, Urethane, Acrylic, Polyesters
- Not recommended for Urethanes and Polyturethanes
Works perfectly with all major branded adhesives that use the larger (C-System) adhesive cartridges, 200ml, 400ml, 600ml, 1500ml, and related cartridge types. Works with all standard C-System cartridges by Sulzer MixPac, and 2k cartridges by Nordson EFD. Each Pack includes the same number of mixing nozzles plus the related inner/inside mixing assembly
The MedMix (Sulzer) MCH 08-24T Mixing Nozzle-Round Helix Bell Style are used to dispense 2-part adhesives from 200ml, 400ml, 600ml and 1500ml C-System plastic cartridges, and works with both 1:1 and 2:1 ratio formulas.
This mixer is connected with a bell outlet and has a stepped tip that can be cut to adjust the amount of adhesive being dispensed.
Product Name
MedMix MCH 08-24T Mixing Nozzle-Round Helix Bell Style
Brief Description
A precision-engineered static mixing nozzle from MedMix (formerly Sulzer Mixpac) designed for the efficient and homogeneous blending of two-component adhesives and sealants dispensed from C-System cartridges. It features a round helix (helical) design and a bell-style connection, ensuring consistent mix quality without external energy input.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Dispensing two-part epoxy, polyurethane, silicone, acrylic, and methacrylate adhesives and sealants.- Structural bonding applications.- Gap filling and sealing.- Potting and encapsulation compounds.- General assembly and repair applications.- Used with manual or pneumatic dispensing guns.
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Aerospace/Defense (e.g., aircraft assembly, protection)- Automotive Service/Repair (e.g., automotive applications)- Construction/ Building Services (e.g., home building, concrete repair, general construction)- General Manufacturing (for various bonding and sealing processes)- Metal Fabrication (e.g., metal bonding)- Plastic Fabrication (e.g., bonding clear acrylic and polycarbonate)- Energy (e.g., wind turbine assembly and repair)- Distributers & Resellers (as a consumable product)- Industrial Supply (as a component for industrial applications)- Countertop (e.g., countertop seaming solutions, bracket installation)- Sign & Display (e.g., signage, display assembly)
Special and Unique Features
- Features a round helix (helical) mixing element design for effective blending.- Equipped with a bell-style inlet connection for secure attachment to MedMix C-System cartridges.- Compatible with both 1:1 and 2:1 mix ratio two-part cartridges.- Designed for use with 200ml, 400ml, 600ml, and 1500ml 2-part cartridges.- Includes a stepped tip that can be cut to adjust the amount of adhesive being dispensed.- Disposable nature ensures clean, mess-free application and consistent mix quality.- Contains 24 mixing elements for thorough and homogeneous blending of materials.
Key Properties
- Ensures consistent and homogeneous mixing of two-component materials, activating the adhesive for optimal performance.- Eliminates air from being introduced into the mix, preventing weak bonds and uneven curing.- Constructed from high-grade polypropylene for durability in industrial settings.- Industrial grade and certified silicone-free.- Recommended for medium to thicker viscosities, typically 80,000 cP or higher.- Maximum operating pressure of 100 PSI (6.89 Bar).- Retained material volume of 8.5ml.
Surface Compatibility
- The nozzle itself does not have surface compatibility, but the two-component adhesives and sealants it dispenses are compatible with a wide range of substrates.- Commonly used with adhesives for bonding metals, various plastics (e.g., acrylic, polycarbonate), composites, wood, concrete, and ceramics.
Known backups / known substitutes
- Other MedMix/Sulzer static mixers, including square helix (Quadro) designs such as the MedMix MCQ-08-24T, which may offer lower waste and different mixing characteristics.- Static mixing nozzles from alternative manufacturers like Nordson EFD (e.g., TAH 160-824), Xemex (e.g., X2-C8-7S), and Infinity Bond.- Other MedMix/Sulzer mixer series (e.g., MAH, MAQ, MCHX, MSR) designed for different cartridge systems, mix ratios, or viscosities.
Comparison Note
The MedMix MCH 08-24T, with its round helix design, represents a traditional and highly effective static mixer, well-suited for efficient blending across a broad spectrum of material viscosities. Its bell-style connection ensures a secure and leak-free interface with compatible dispensing guns and cartridges. In contrast, square (Quadro) mixing nozzles, like the MedMix MCQ-08-24T, are often engineered for maximum mixing efficiency within a shorter length, potentially leading to reduced material waste and being particularly effective for medium to thin viscosity materials.
