The Maven Underwater Pool & Spa Repair Kit combines a fast-curing, two-part structural adhesive with the tools needed for controlled application above or below the waterline. The adhesive can be dispensed directly into submerged cracks and repair areas, allowing many common pool and spa repairs to be completed while water remains in place. 

The included MS50 dispenser applies both adhesive components at the correct rate, while the static mixing nozzle blends them as they are dispensed. A Luer-Lok adapter and precision needle tip help direct the mixed adhesive into narrow cracks, seams and difficult-to-reach spaces. This makes the kit especially useful for targeted repairs around pool shells, spa components, fittings, steps, skimmers, jets and drains.

Maven MMA3005 is a thick, gap-filling methacrylate adhesive designed to form high-strength structural bonds to fiberglass, ABS, PVC, steel, stainless steel, aluminum and various other plastics. The formula can fill gaps up to approximately 0.25 inches, helping it bridge damaged areas and completely fill repair joints instead of creating only a thin surface coating.

At approximately 75°F, the adhesive provides a working time of 2–4 minutes and reaches fixture strength in about 6–8 minutes. It develops nearly 90% of its ultimate strength within 8–10 minutes under room-temperature conditions and continues strengthening after the initial set. Underwater repairs may require additional time before the repaired area is placed under stress, and colder water or surfaces will slow both setting and strength development.

Material compatibility and bond strength vary, so the adhesive should be tested on the actual substrate before completing a critical repair. The formula is not intended for low-surface-energy plastics unless suitability has been confirmed through testing.

Basic Application Instructions

1. Assemble the mixing nozzle, Luer-Lok adapter and precision tip.

2. Install the cartridge in the MS50 dispenser.

3. Prime the cartridge by dispensing a small amount onto a disposable surface.

4. Immediately dispense the mixed adhesive into the crack, gap or bonding area.

5. Smooth excess adhesive with a gloved hand or disposable putty knife.

6. Keep the repaired component undisturbed while the adhesive sets.

7. Remove and discard the used nozzle, then recap the cartridge for storage.

Once mixed, the adhesive begins curing quickly and may harden inside an idle nozzle. Complete the repair within the available working time and replace cured nozzles before starting another application.

Cure and Temperature Information

For the most predictable cure, apply the adhesive when the material, surface and surrounding environment are between 65°F and 85°F. Temperatures below 65°F will slow the setting and fixture process, although the adhesive will continue reacting. Underwater repairs should be given additional time before they are disturbed or placed under load, particularly in colder pools.
