Maven MMA3010 is a two-part methacrylate adhesive suitable for structural bonding of various metals, plastics and composites. The product does not need surface preparation or a primer. This is 1:1-part methacrylate adhesive with an open time of 15 minutes and handling strength can be achieved in less than 30 minutes. Gives excellent bond strength on various substrates.
Special/Unique Feature: Cold Temperature Setting (Cold Weather Curing). MMA3010 is one of the few formulas that will set/cure below freezing, rated to set/cure in temperatures as low as 0F (-18C). This is an exceptional feature, as most all glues simply will not set/cure at this low of a temperature.
So if your job involves cold air, cold temperature, or winter weather, you're go-to is this formula, Maven MMA3010.
It works exceptionally well for Galvanized steel and surfaces specifically, which is a difficult metal to bond to, and works exceptional on most metal surfaces in general.
Please Note: These cartridges are designed to work best with a 50ml or 400ml cartridge Dispenser, respectively. We advise you use a 50ml or 400ml Dispenser for all respective cartridges. If you do not have one, please check out our Dispensers, all are excellent products and have our 'it's good' seal of approval.
If you prefer not to use a Dispenser, we have some 50ml kits that include hand tools or caulking dispenser adapters, as pictured, that you can use for fast small jobs. But the 400ml cartridges really need to use a 400ml Dispenser, they're just too big to effectively use without the dispenser.

Directions of applications
Wipe off and decrease the surface to be bonded. Use eye protection and gloves to avoid eye/skin contact. Dispense a desirable amount of adhesive using a dispensing dispenser. The nozzle sizes can be selected according to the desired bond thickness. Join the substrates with the specified work-life of this material and allow it to cure at room temperature. Do not disturb the parts during the curing process. Excess adhesive can be wiped off.
Safety and handling
Wear safety glasses and gloves. Harmful if swallowed. Keep it away from heat and flames. Keep out of reach of children. Once used keep the containers closed.
Storage and shelf life
Store this product in a tightly closed container in a cool and well-ventilated area. Product should not be frozen. Keep it away from any source of heat. Store the material between 51℉ to 75℉. Continuous exposure above 75℃ will reduce the shelf life.
Product Name
Maven MMA 3010 Acrylic - Medium Set 15-Min MMA Adhesive-Thick/High Viscosity Beige-1:1 ratio
Brief Description
Maven MMA 3010 is a two-part, beige, medium-set methyl methacrylate (MMA) structural adhesive with a 1:1 mix ratio, engineered for strong and durable bonding of various metals, plastics, and composites. It offers a working time of 14-18 minutes and achieves handling strength in less than 30 minutes.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Structural bonding of various metals, plastics, and composites- Bonding galvanized steel, which is typically a difficult metal to bond- Assembly of automotive components, such as side and roof panels, door panels, and aerodynamic parts- Marine applications, including bonding fiberglass, plastics, hulls, deck liners, ski boats, and yachts- Construction and building services, for bonding metal, concrete, and other materials, and installing flooring- General industrial and craftsman applications- Bonding magnets in electric motors and loudspeakers
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Aerospace/Defense- Automotive Service/Repair- Construction/ Building Services- Countertop- Fabrication- Flooring Installer or Manufacturer- General Manufacturing- LED/Electronics- Marine- Metal Fabrication- Plastic Fabrication- Transportation/ Specialty Vehicle
Special and Unique Features
- Medium set time with 14-18 minutes of working time- Thick/High Viscosity for controlled application- 1:1 mix ratio for easy and consistent dispensing- Electrically insulating (does not conduct electricity)- Excellent resistance to hydrocarbons, acids, and bases- Minimal to no surface preparation required, tolerating slightly oily or unclean surfaces- Forms resilient bonds with high tensile, shear, peel, and impact strength- Good flexibility at low temperatures- Can bond dissimilar materials effectively
Key Properties
- Type: Acrylic (MMA)- Color: Beige (Resin and Cured Product), Pale yellow (Activator)- Mix Ratio: 1:1- Working Time: 14-18 minutes (at 10 gm. mass)- Handling Strength: 30-45 minutes- Viscosity @25°C: 50,000 - 80,000 cP (Resin and Activator)- Specific Gravity: 1.0 (Resin), 0.96 (Activator)- Tensile Strength: 3200-4500 psi- Lap Shear Strength: 2800-3800 psi- Modulus: 130,000-175,000 psi- Shore D Hardness: 80- Operating Temperature: -50°F to 250°F (-45°C to 121°C)- VOC Content: 0.1%
Surface Compatibility
- Metals: Including galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other general metal surfaces- Plastics: Such as acrylics, ABS, PVC, polycarbonates, and other engineered plastics- Composites: Including fiberglass, carbon fiber, unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, gel-coat, and sheet molding compound- Wood
Known backups / known substitutes
- Plexus MA310 (Maven MMA 3010 is a compatible replacement/backup formula)- Other general MMA adhesives from brands like Infinity Bond, Devcon, 3M, Loctite, ASI, and Sika- Epoxies and polyurethanes (though MMAs offer distinct advantages in speed, flexibility, and specific substrate bonding)
Comparison Note
Maven MMA 3010, as an MMA adhesive, offers significant advantages over traditional joining methods like welding, riveting, or mechanical fasteners by providing strong, durable bonds with minimal surface preparation, faster cure times, and the ability to bond dissimilar materials. Compared to epoxies, MMAs generally exhibit higher peel strength, better temperature resistance, and faster strength development, while being less brittle and more flexible. They also provide superior impact and fatigue resistance compared to urethanes.
