Maven EA 5120 is an extreme-strength epoxy system. The EA 5120 is designed for metals, plastics, woods, and laminating systems.
It boasts extreme strength, in all relevant measures:
- extreme tensile strength: 7,500 PSI
- extreme compressive strength: 17,000 PSI
- extreme flex strength: 11,100 PSI
EA 5120 is configurable/selectable in two viscosities for different uses:
- EA 5120 LV (Low Viscosity): Thin, Low Viscosity, flowable, easily brushable
- EA 5120 MV (Medium Viscosity: Slightly thicker, Medium Viscosity, still flowable but thicker, brushable but will apply slightly thicker
This material is also a backup formula for: Araldite TDR1100-11 formula, which can be hard to get at present.
This product is ideal for high stress and high tension/impact environments like highway and bridge deck repairs, bow manufacturing, striking tool assembly.
And due to it's configurable viscosity and clarity, potting, casting, and encapsulation, floor systems, linings of tanks and pipes.
This product has good chemical, corrosion, and water resistance. It is especially formulated for a 1:1 mix ratio.
A handling cure is normally achieved at room temperature within 4 hours with a full cure at room temperature within 48 hours.
To accelerate curing, or to quicken the handling simply elevate the temperature with an oven or heat gun.
