Loctite 243 Primerless Oil-Tolerant Medium Strength Threadlocker

LOCTITE® 243™ is a blue, general-purpose, medium-strength anaerobic threadlocker for locking and sealing threaded fasteners that require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. Its thixotropic formula reduces migration after application, provides robust cure on active and passive metals, and tolerates minor contamination from cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion, and protection oils. It is particularly suited to pumps, gearboxes, motors, vehicles, and other equipment exposed to shock and vibration.

• Breakaway torque, M10 black oxide steel nuts and bolts: 22 N·m (200 lb·in)
• Prevail torque at 180°, M10 black oxide steel nuts and bolts: 9 N·m (80 lb·in)
• Compressive shear strength on steel pins and collars: greater than 7.6 N/mm² (1,100 psi)
• Glass transition temperature: 100°C
• Tested for cold strength to -75°C (-100°F)
