EP 300 A/B was a two component, room temperature curing epoxy adhesive designed for extreme environments. The advance adhesive was a gap-filling thixotropic paste with good retention of strength after environmental aging. It offers high lap shear strength and compression at ambient and elevated temperatures. The epoxy adhesive has no SVHC as defined under REACH and it was excellent for liquid shim. It was well suited for demanding applications requiring high heat resistance and retention of compressive strength.
EP 300 epoxy paste adhesive has a service temperature up to 204°C. The product was well suited for bonding a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites and many other dissimilar materials. The combination of a high lap shear strength and compression make this adhesive well suited for aerospace and composites. It offers a slow cure, with rapid buildup of lap shear strength with an easy mix ratio of 2:1 PBV. Once thoroughly mixed together, the material was gray in color. Specific gravity is 1.3 per ASTM D-891 and viscosity was a thixotropic paste at 25°C per ASTM D-2196.
EP 300 A/B can be spread with a spatula to the pretreated substrate joint. A layer of 0.004 to 0.012 inches thick was recommended to provide the maximum lap shear strength. Once the material was applied it needs to be clamped together. Even pressure throughout the joint will ensure optimum performance. EP 300 will take approximately 5 days at room temperature to fully cure, or just about 1 hour at 150F.
Please Note: These cartridges are designed to work best with a 50ml or 200ml cartridge Dispenser, respectively. We advise you use a 50ml or 200ml Dispenser for all respective cartridges. If you do not have one, please check out our Dispensers, all are excellent products and have our 'it's good' seal of approval.
If you prefer not to use a Dispenser, all 50ml cartridge orders we sell will come with one manual hand plunger, as pictured, that you can use for small jobs. But the 200ml cartridges really need to use a 200ml Dispenser, they're just too big to easily use without the dispenser.

Known backups / known substitutes
- Araldite 2035 (Authorized Replacement).- Comparable to Loctite EA 9394 and Loctite EA 9396 (for Araldite 2035).
Comparison Note
- Huntsman Araldite EP 300 was a high-performance, high-temperature thixotropic epoxy adhesive with a 30-45 minute working time and a 2:1 mix ratio, designed for extreme environments and gap-filling applications. It has been discontinued due to material ingredient supply issues.- Its authorized replacement, Araldite 2035, maintains similar high-temperature resistance (up to 400°F/204°C), high strength, and gap-filling properties.- Araldite 2035 offers a slightly longer working time of 60 minutes compared to EP 300's 30-45 minutes, and a faster handling strength development (4.5 hours vs. 2-3 hours for EP 300).- Additionally, Araldite 2035 features low outgassing and contains 0.005” spacer beads, enhancing its performance in specific applications.
