Description
Devcon® R-Flex® is formulated to quickly repair tears, holes and gouges as well as protecting clips in styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) heavy weight conveyor belts. Offering excellent abrasion resistance as well as superior adhesion, the R-Flex® urethane compound is easy to mix and cures quickly – the repaired belt can be back in service just 90 minutes after application. Devcon® R-Flex® is perfect for rubber conveyor belt repair.

Brief Description
DEVCON R-Flex is a self-leveling liquid urethane that quickly transforms into a non-sag putty, specifically formulated for the rapid and durable repair of gouges, tears, and holes in heavy-weight SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) conveyor belts. It also serves to protect belt clips and splices.

Surface Compatibility
- Primarily designed for Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) conveyor belts.- Compatible with metal surfaces (e.g., belt clips/fasteners) when used with an appropriate primer like Devcon FL-10 Metal Primer.

- Hot vulcanization methods, which typically require heat, pressure, and result in longer downtime.- Mechanical splices, often used for quick fixes but generally outlived by vulcanized joints.- Other cold vulcanizing solutions and cements, such as Chemvulc's CV2002 or CV4000, TRS cold adhesive, Eli-Flex, and Thejo's TEZ cold adhesives.- Rubber repair strips and patches with CN bonding layers, like Reglin Conveyor Belt Repair Materials or Oliver Rubber Industries' Self Vulcanizing Strips/patches.- Other urethane-based rubber repair products with fast set times.- Devcon Flexane products, including Flexane Brushable and Flexane High Performance Putty.
