Product Name
Devcon 11410 Wear Resistant Putty Smooth, Non-rusting & All-purpose Epoxy (also known as WR-2)
Brief Description
Devcon 11410 Wear Resistant Putty is a ceramic-filled, smooth, non-rusting, all-purpose epoxy putty. It is specifically engineered for repairs requiring low-friction finishes and provides robust protection against wear, abrasion, and corrosion on various surfaces. This two-part system cures at room temperature to a hard, machinable finish.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Rebuilding worn parts in industrial equipment across manufacturing, mining, and marine sectors.- Resurfacing corroded or pitted metal surfaces to extend their service life.- Repairing and protecting critical components such as flange faces, machine ways, valve seats and bodies, and tracing guides.- Restoring and protecting pumps, shafts, and machine beds.- Bonding metals and concrete to create abrasion-resistant surfaces in harsh operating environments.- Filling holes and repairing cracks in various substrates.- Performing repairs in situations where traditional welding or brazing methods are impractical or undesirable.
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Aerospace/Defense- Automotive Service/Repair- Chemical Industry- Concrete- Construction/ Building Services- Distributers & Resellers- Energy- Engineering Services- Fabrication- General Manufacturing- Government & Military- Industrial Supply- Marine- Metal Fabrication- Petroleum Industry, Products or Services- Transportation/ Specialty Vehicle
Special and Unique Features
- Contains ceramic fillers, providing superior wear resistance and a smooth, low-friction finish.- Non-rusting formulation ensures longevity and integrity of repairs.- Can be machined, drilled, tapped, or painted after achieving full cure, allowing for precise finishing.- Features a non-sag formula, enabling easy application on vertical and overhead surfaces up to ¼” thick without slumping.- Offers protection against bimetallic corrosion when used on interfacing metal surfaces.- Formulated without ozone-depleting substances, aligning with environmental considerations.- Also available in a liquid form for different application needs.
