CS-NRI Syntho-Glass NP Pipe Repair Kits (No Pressure, Depressurized) optimized for copper, steel, SS, PVC, FRP, clay, concrete, and rubber pipes.
The no pressure (NP) repair system was specifically designed for depressurized pipe repair applications on copper, steel, SS, PVC, FRP, clay, concrete, and rubber. By combining the original Syntho-Glass® product, with the extremely chemically resistant Syntho-Steel™, this offers the geometric flexibility to repair joints, tees, couplings, and pinholes. This complete system simplifies the application process and is prepackaged to accommodate pipes up to 10 inches in diameter. Larger repair applications can be engineered to meet your requirements.
Syntho-Glass® is the originally patented fiberglass pre-impregnated composite that is activated by saltwater or freshwater. Packaged in a hermetically sealed foil pouch, it is ready to use and does not require any measuring or mixing. When used with the appropriate primary sealant, it can repair and reinforce virtually any pipe in minutes. Syntho-Glass® not only restores a pipe to its original pressure rating, it can make the repair area stronger than the original pipe reducing downtime, saving in parts and labor. Syntho-Glass® is a versatile solution for situations in which swift repair is critical. With an initial setting time of only 30 minutes (75°F/24°C), Syntho-Glass® provides superior, rapid repair on copper, steel, stainless steel, PVC, FRP, clay, concrete, and rubber pipe. Designed to be inherently safe, it is nontoxic, noncombustible, and odorless.
This repair system also is easy to install. The Syntho-Glass® installation kit delivers all the components needed for a repair and arrives on site packaged in a hermetically sealed foil pouch, ready to use without any measuring or mixing.

Known backups / known substitutes
- SynthoGlass UP (for pressurized leaks up to 60 psi)- Pipe Wrap®- Leak Stopper™- Composite-Clamp™- WEICON Pipe Repair Kit (another fiberglass repair tape with epoxy stick, NSF/ANSI Standard 61 certified)
Comparison Note
SynthoGlass NP is specifically engineered for depressurized pipe repairs. In contrast, SynthoGlass UP is designed for live leaks under pressure (up to 60 psi) and includes additional components like pressure-sealing rubber tape and Syntho-Steel putty to stop active leaks before the fiberglass wrap is applied. Standard fiberglass wraps, such as SynthoGlass NP, are not intended to stop live leaks on their own; a primary sealant or pressure-sealing tape is essential for pressurized applications.
