Product Overview TILE ACE UHT (Ultra High-Tack) is a premium, single-component, moisture-curing adhesive formulated with advanced Kaneka MS Polymer® technology. Specifically engineered for bonding large-format composite porcelain tiles to interior walls, it provides an exceptionally strong initial "grab" that often eliminates the need for mechanical fasteners or temporary supports. Proudly made in the USA, this adhesive significantly reduces installation time while maintaining a professional, long-lasting bond.
Key Features & Benefits
- Ultra-High Initial Tack: Features a fast-grab, non-sag formula capable of holding composite tiles in place immediately upon application.
- Superior Efficiency: Requires only 8% coverage for typical reinforced porcelain tiles, saving material and labor costs.
- Bead-Only Application: Designed to hold panels securely via bead application, removing the labor-intensive need for full-surface troweling.
- Exceptional Flexibility: Boasts a remarkable 408% elongation at break, allowing the bond to withstand significant structural movement and vibration.
- Safety & Environment: Low-odor and low-VOC formula, making it ideal for confined interior installations.
- Professional Strength: Achieves high-tensile strength (3.0 MPa) and demonstrates cohesive failure across most substrates, ensuring the bond remains intact even under stress.
Compatible Substrates
TILE ACE UHT provides a permanent, cohesive bond (CF) with a wide range of materials, including:
- Ceramics: Large format composite porcelain tiles and ceramic tiles.
- Construction Materials: Mortar, gypsum board, and backer boards.
- Metals: Anodized aluminum and stainless steel.
- Plastics: PVC, ABS, Polystyrene, and PET.
- Glass: Standard glass surfaces.
Technical Specifications
Application & Storage
- Packaging: Available in 20oz. Foil (Sausage) Packs and 10oz. Cartridges.
- Usage: Designed for interior wall application only; not for use with non-composite porcelain tiles when using spot or bead bonding.
- Cure Time: Grouting can typically begin after 24 hours once the hardened state is confirmed.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place between 50°F and 90°F. Shelf life is 12 months in unopened packaging.
TILE ACE UHT is an ultra-high-tack, moisture-curing
adhesive specifically designed for challenging interior wall applications. Its
formulation allows it to replace traditional mechanical fasteners in many
scenarios, making it a favorite for fast-paced professional installations.
Primary Interior Wall Use Cases
- Large
Format Composite Porcelain Panels: Its most common use is bonding
large-format composite tile systems to interior walls, where its high
initial grab prevents heavy panels from sliding during installation. - High-Efficiency
Tiling: Because the formula requires only 8% coverage for typical
reinforced porcelain tiles, it is used to reduce material weight and cost
on massive wall surfaces. - Drywall
and Masonry Bonding: It is frequently used to bond panels directly to gypsum
board or mortar, providing a cohesive bond that is often stronger than the
substrate itself.
Specialized Industrial & Commercial Applications
- Non-Porous
Substrate Bonding: TILE ACE UHT is highly effective for bonding tiles or
panels to difficult, non-porous surfaces like stainless steel, anodized
aluminum, and various plastics such as PVC, ABS, and PET. - Modular
and Prefabricated Construction: With a remarkable 408% elongation at break,
this adhesive is ideal for modular buildings or units that must be
transported. It absorbs the vibrations and structural shifts that would
cause standard cementitious adhesives to crack. - Retail
and Commercial Renovations: Due to its fast grab and non-sag properties,
it is used in "fast-track" renovations where mechanical supports
are not feasible, allowing for bead-only application that eliminates the
need for full-surface troweling. - Clean-Air
Environments: Because it is low-odor and low-VOC, it is a popular choice
for active commercial spaces, hospitals, or residential projects where
strong chemical smells must be avoided.
Substrate Summary
Important Note: TILE ACE UHT is specifically designed for
interior wall surfaces and composite tile systems; spot or bead bonding should
not be used for non-composite porcelain tiles on walls.
