TILE ACE MAX is a professional-grade, high-performance tile adhesive based on advanced KANEKA MS POLYMER® technology. Engineered for extreme reliability in both indoor and outdoor settings, this low-modulus white adhesive is specifically designed to meet ISO 14448:2016 specifications for exterior tile applications. Proudly made in the USA, it offers a superior alternative to traditional mortars for challenging installations.
Key Features & Performance
- Advanced Flexibility: With an 80% elongation at break and a low-modulus design, this adhesive effectively absorbs structural movement and vibration.
- Exceptional Bond Strength: In hand peeling tests, TILE ACE MAX demonstrates Cohesion Failure (CF) across nearly all substrates—meaning the internal bond of the adhesive is stronger than the forces acting upon it.
- Generous Working Time: Provides a 60-minute open time and 60-minute skin-over time (at 73°F), allowing installers ample time for precise adjustments.
- Weather & Temperature Resistant: Built to withstand extreme environments, it maintains performance in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 194°F (-40°C to 90°C).
- Efficient Cure Rate: Reaches a cure depth of 3.3 mm after just one day and 6.4 mm after seven days.
Compatible Substrates
TILE ACE MAX is highly versatile, achieving a cohesive bond with a wide variety of materials:
- Masonry & Ceramics: Mortar, porcelain, and ceramic tiles.
- Metals: Anodized aluminum and stainless steel.
- Plastics: PVC, Polycarbonate, and ABS.
- Construction Materials: Pine wood, glass, and foam core backer boards (noting material failure on backer boards, indicating the board will give way before the bond).

Popular Use Cases
- Exterior
Tile and Facades: Because it conforms to ISO 14448:2016 specifications
for exterior tile applications, it is a go-to solution for outdoor walls,
patios, and building facades. Its temperature resistance from -40°F to
194°F ensures that the bond stays intact during extreme seasonal
freeze-thaw cycles. - Commercial
Kitchens and Labs: The adhesive achieves a cohesive bond (CF) on
stainless steel and anodized aluminum, making it ideal for installing
backsplashes or wall tiles in commercial environments where metal
substrates are common. - Moisture-Heavy
Environments: It is frequently used with foam core backer boards in
high-moisture areas like showers and steam rooms. In these cases, the bond
is so strong that the board material itself will fail (MF) before the
adhesive lets go. - Plastic
and Glass Bonding: Unlike many adhesives, TILE ACE MAX is compatible
with difficult substrates like PVC, Polycarbonate, and ABS, allowing for
creative architectural installations involving mixed media and synthetic
panels.
Countertop and Fabrication Industry
In the professional countertop industry, this adhesive has
become a staple for working with modern materials:
- Large
Format Porcelain Slabs: It is specifically valued for installing
thin-slab (gauged) porcelain countertops and wall panels. Its high
flexibility (80% elongation) prevents these rigid slabs from cracking due
to subtop movement or cabinet settling. - Structural
Reinforcement: Fabricators use it to bond reinforcement layers, such
as wood or foam boards, to the underside of porcelain and natural stone
slabs to increase durability during transport and installation. - Undermount
Sink Support: Due to its excellent adhesion to stainless steel, it is
often utilized to secure mounting hardware and support systems for
undermount sinks, ensuring a permanent, vibration-resistant hold.
