Description

BoaBond SmartGrip mounting tape is a double-sided removable tape built for hanging, mounting, and display applications where a clean release matters as much as a strong initial hold. At 20 mil thick with a 1 in adhesive face and 1.5 in liner, the roll unwinds cleanly thanks to dry, ungummed liner edges. The high-tack adhesive grabs on contact and builds a thorough bond with firm pressure. When it comes time to remove, pulling at a 30-degree angle releases cleanly without surface damage. Each clamshell roll contains 5 ft (60 in) of tape.

Where SmartGrip Mounting Tape Gets Used

SmartGrip is designed for pictures, frames, signs, trim, plaques, and nameplates anywhere you need a hold that looks permanent but comes off clean. It bonds to a wide range of substrates: wood, metal, glass, plastic, ceramic tile, granite, cement, painted drywall, wallpaper, fiberglass, laminates, leather, canvas, rugs, fabrics, ceiling tile, foam, and poster board. Surface prep is critical regardless of substrate. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of oils or debris before applying. How to Apply SmartGrip Mounting Tape

Unroll the tape onto the desired surface. The dry, ungummed liner edges make handling clean with no sticky surprises on the unwind. The high-tack adhesive forms an immediate bond on contact. Cut through the liner with a sharp blade, keeping the cut neat and aligned with your bonding surface. Apply firm pressure from the liner side to activate the adhesive and ensure it wets out fully against the substrate. Oils from bare hands can reduce bond strength, so avoid touching the adhesive face. Peel the release liner from the dry edge to expose the adhesive, then press the second substrate firmly into position. To remove, pull the tape at a 30-degree angle. This technique reduces stress on the surface and allows a clean release without tearing or leaving residue. For step-by-step application demos, see the Chemical Concepts YouTube channel.
