Arjay 6011 Transom Repair Pour 1-Gallon pail kit complete with activator/hardener. Also known as: Transom Repair Putty, Transom Pour, Transom Repair Kit, Boat Motor Support Repair, Ceramic Transom Pour, Transom Repair Kit
The Arjay Ceramic Pourable Transom Repair Putty is used to build or repair boat hull transoms, Where the outboard motors are mounted. Transoms require extremely high compressive and tensile strengths to perform well and for many years, and need a strong finish. And it works excellently to replace older plywood-based transoms that have degraded or rotted. Arjay 6011 is the industry standard transom repair material that is used in the transoms of power boats.
Each kit includes: 1 pail of Arjay Transom Repair Resin, 1 bottle of the related MEKP Hardener, 1 mixing stick, 1 instruction and product data packet

Arjay 6011 Ceramic Pourable Compound (CPC) Transom Putty has a compressive strength of over 2,900 psi & is relatively lightweight (7.2 lbs/gal).
Boat manufacturing processes have advanced a lot over the years, & Arjay has been there every step of the way. Arjay 6011 is the industry standard for boat hull transom repairs, where extremely high compressive & flexural strengths & low exotherm in large masses are not only required, they’re everything.
Today’s transoms hold more weight & power than ever before, & failure is not an option.
Repair: Rescuing Old Transoms Many older powerboats were built with plywood transoms, which eventually rot. The Arjay 6011 Transom Pour allows repair of these transoms that’s minimally invasive, takes less time, & is lower cost than traditional repair methods.
But there are many other uses for this versatile product: Molding small parts that have extreme strength Foundation for mounting engines Mold Making Repairing dry rot in a variety of wood-based structures Backing up marine hardware Cyclone & separator bodies Repairing worn pump housings Preventing cavitation to condenser water boxes Features of Ceramic Putty Full Kit Components, each kit includes: Ceramic-embedded Pourable Putty MEKP Catalyst Instructions to prepare, pour and set the transom repair material Technical and Safety datasheets

Product Name
Arjay 6011 & 6012 Ceramic Pourable Transom Repair Compound Putty
Brief Description
Arjay 6011 and 6012 are ceramic-embedded, pourable compound putties designed as a high-strength, low-exotherm core material for structural repairs, particularly in marine environments. This polyester bonding compound is widely recognized as an industry standard for building and repairing boat hull transoms, offering exceptional compressive and flexural strengths while remaining relatively lightweight. It provides a durable, cost-effective, and minimally invasive solution for restoring degraded or rotten wood-cored transoms and other critical marine structures.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Building or repairing boat hull transoms, especially for power boats- Repairing rotten plywood transoms- Coring small parts requiring extreme strength- Providing a foundation or bed for mounting engines- Backing up marine hardware and through-bolting applications- Repairing dry rot in various wood-based structures, including transoms and stringers- Filling large volumes where superior strength and rigidity are critical- Repairing worn pump housings- Preventing cavitation in condenser water boxes- Backing up two-part molds- Used in cyclone & separator bodies
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Marine (Boat and Ship Building, Repair, and Maintenance)- Government & Military (Navy Ships, other maritime vessels)- General Manufacturing (for specialized molding and structural applications)- Fabrication (for high-strength bonding and repair projects)
Special and Unique Features
- Industry standard for boat hull transom repairs- Minimally invasive repair method, saving time and cost compared to traditional methods- Low Peak Exotherm (low heat generation during curing, approximately 130°F), crucial for large mass applications- Formulated with premium resins for enhanced performance- Ceramic-embedded formula provides superior resistance to friction and erosion- Excellent electrical insulation characteristics- Strong alternative to welding for creating powerful, lasting bonds in tough conditions- Easy-to-use pourable consistency for simple mixing and application
Key Properties
- High Compressive Strength: Over 2,900 psi- Relatively Lightweight: Approximately 7.2 lbs/gal- Excellent Rigidity and Strength- High Flexural Strength (30-34K PSI) and Modulus (1.11E+06 PSI)- Waterproof and Chemical Resistant- Wear and Abrasion Resistant- Fast Curing Properties: - Gel Time: 21 minutes - Handling Strength: 73 minutes - Full Cure: 24 hours before drilling or mounting- Excellent Stability
Surface Compatibility
- Wood (especially plywood transoms)- Fiberglass (for boat hulls)- Stainless Steel- Concrete- Clean & Abraded Bronze- Copper- Aluminum
Known backups / known substitutes
- Seacast- CarbonBond Transom Compound (formerly Nida-Bond)
Comparison Note
Arjay 6011 & 6012 Ceramic Pourable Transom Repair Compound Putty is often considered an industry benchmark due to its superior strength, low exotherm, and ease of use for critical marine structural repairs. Its compressive strength is documented to be several times that of plywood and significantly higher than PVC foam. While substitutes like Seacast and CarbonBond exist, Arjay 6011 is frequently cited for its robust performance in demanding applications, particularly for powerboat transoms.
