Chem-Set Surface Preparation Cleaners
Chem-Set surface preparation cleaners help remove contamination before bonding or finishing compatible materials. Select acetone or alcohol in the package required for your application. These solvents have different compatibility limits.
Choosing Surface Preparation Cleaners
- Acetone aerosol: one 10.5 oz spray can for compatible surfaces and cleaning tasks.
- Alcohol cleaner: select the alcohol variant when your process specifies an alcohol-based cleaner.
- Small bottles: choose the size and solvent shown in the selector.
Application Guidance
Follow the adhesive or coating manufacturer's preparation instructions. Test first on plastics, painted surfaces and finishes. Acetone can attack or craze some plastics and coatings. Remove dissolved contamination with a clean cloth and allow the surface to dry before bonding.
