Description
UltraLok® 420GB is a two-part, fast-set structural methacrylate adhesive designed to bond metals, plastics, and composites with speed, strength, and simplicity. Competing directly with ASI MP 55420, 3M™ DP8405NS, and SciGrip SG5000-03, UltraLok 420GB delivers robust performance at a more economical price point.
Formulated with integrated glass beads to maintain bondline thickness and prevent over-clamping, this adhesive cures quickly at room temperature and requires no surface prep. Ideal for high-throughput assembly environments where repeatable strength and application speed are critical.

Also available in:
1. Fast-Paced Assembly & Manufacturing
Because it has a very fast open time (3-7 minutes) and fixtures quickly (9-15 minutes), it is heavily used in production lines and assembly processes that require rapid turnaround and immediate handling of parts.
2. Bonding Dissimilar Materials
It excels at joining materials that are traditionally difficult to bond together. A primary use case is structurally bonding raw or e-coated metals (like aluminum and stainless steel) to plastics (like ABS, PVC, or Polycarbonate) without the need for mechanical fasteners.
3. Automotive and Specialty Vehicle Fabrication
The adhesive bonds extremely well to e-coated metals, fiberglass, and thermoplastics, making it ideal for assembling body panels, interior components, and custom aftermarket parts in cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles.
4. Marine Repair and Boat Building
Because it bonds strongly to thermosets like fiberglass, gel coats, and epoxies, it is a great choice for marine applications, including boat hull repairs, deck assemblies, and attaching hardware.
5. Signage and Display Construction
Sign makers use this adhesive to assemble large acrylic, polycarbonate, and metal signs. Its ability to bond without extensive surface preparation saves time, and its gap-filling properties (up to 0.25 inches) make it forgiving on uneven joints.
6. Extreme Temperature and High-Impact Environments
Since it resists temperatures from -40°F to +250°F and offers a high-strength, impact-resistant bond (peel strength of 40-50 pli), it is used in outdoor or industrial applications where parts are exposed to harsh weather, vibration, or heavy physical stress.
7. No-Prep Structural Repairs
Because it requires zero surface preparation, maintenance workers and fabricators use it for field repairs and quick structural fixes where grinding, sanding, or chemical priming is impossible or too time-consuming.
