Description
Surebonder 725 is a clear, general purpose EVA hot melt adhesive built to run across a wide temperature range, from low-heat 250F guns up to standard 380F equipment. The long open time gives extra room to position parts before the bond sets.
- Application temperature range: 250F to 380F
- Softening point: 176F
- Open time: approximately 65 seconds
Typical use: general bonding of wood, plastic, metal, fabric, paper, and ribbon where a clear glue line and flexibility across gun temperatures matter. This is the widest size range in the Surebonder stick lineup, with eight package configurations spanning 7/16 inch to 1 inch diameters and 2 inch to 15 inch lengths, including a ribbed quad-stick option for motorized feed guns.
Product Name
Surebonder 725 All-Temperature Clear Hot Melt Glue Sticks
Brief Description
A clear, general-purpose EVA hot melt adhesive formulated to run in both high and low temperature glue guns, giving fabricators one stick that works across a range of hand tools and applicators. Medium-fast set with roughly a one-minute open time makes it a dependable choice for craft, packaging, and light assembly work where a clean, colorless bond line matters.
Popular Applications & Uses
- General product assembly and craft projects
- Point-of-sale and sign fixture assembly
- Countertop edge and trim bonding
- Multi-material bonding across wood, metal, plastic, and paper
- Packaging and carton component attachment
- Fabric and trim tacking

Special and Unique Features
- Runs in both high-temperature and low-temperature glue guns, reducing the need for a dedicated tool
- Clear formula leaves no visible glue line on finished parts
- Ribbed/quad stick profile feeds smoothly through standard and quad-feed glue guns
- Long open time (about 65 seconds) gives operators time to position parts before the bond sets
- Indefinite shelf life under normal storage

Known backups / known substitutes
No verified cross-reference substitute is documented for the Surebonder 725 at this time. Do not present an alternate product as an equivalent without confirming chemistry and set-speed match.
Comparison Note
Compared to the Surebonder 735 (amber, high-performance) and 738 (woodworking-grade) sticks in this line, the 725 is the clear, all-temperature generalist, chosen when appearance (no amber tint) or dual-gun compatibility matters more than the higher bond strength or specialty open-time profiles the 735 and 738 offer.
