Plexus MA300 Two-Part Methacrylate Adhesive

Plexus® MA300 is a fast-curing, two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastics, metals, and composite assemblies. It is an excellent choice for demanding industrial applications where strong, durable bonds are needed across mixed substrates.

With a 1:1 mix ratio, a 3–6 minute working time, and fast strength build, MA300 helps reduce fixture time while delivering high-performance bonding for production, repair, and assembly work.

Ideal For Automotive, RV, and Marine Applications

Plexus MA300 is well suited for automotive, RV, and marine industry applications where lightweight materials, composites, metals, plastics, and gel coat may need to be bonded reliably.

Performance Highlights

Plexus MA300 offers a strong balance of speed, strength, and material compatibility. At approximately 74°F, MA300 reaches about 500 psi in 11–13 minutes and 1000 psi in 13–16 minutes. The adhesive cures to a hard, durable bond with a Shore D hardness of 78 and tensile strength of 3,510–4,290 psi.

Typical lap shear performance includes:

• Aluminum: 3,155 psi
• Stainless Steel: 3,343 psi
• PC/ABS: 1,169 psi
• PVC: 1,391 psi
• Gel Coat: 578 psi

MA300 also offers a 0.01"–0.125" gap tolerance, making it useful for real-world assemblies where parts may not fit perfectly flush. Its non-sagging gel consistency helps keep adhesive in place during vertical, overhead, or irregular bonding applications.

Recommended Dispensing Options

For 50ml cartridges, we recommend the Maven MS-50 Dispensing Gun Kit. The MS-50 is designed for precise 50ml epoxy and adhesive dispensing across common mix ratios.

For 400ml cartridges, we recommend the Maven MV400-36X Manual High-Power 36X Thrust Dispenser. This high-thrust manual dispenser is designed for smoother dispensing of 400ml and 415ml two-part adhesive cartridges.

Application Notes

For best results, bond surfaces should be clean and free of grease, dirt, and other contaminants. MA300 should be applied within the adhesive’s working time, with enough material used to completely fill the joint when parts are mated. After application, parts should be held in position until sufficient bond strength is achieved.

Recommended application temperature is 65°F–85°F. Temperatures outside this range may significantly slow down or accelerate cure speed.
