Discover the versatility and performance of the Paneltim TriPower panels, thoughtfully engineered for the U.S. market. Crafted from high-grade PP COPO (polypropylene copolymer), these twin-wall panels feature a robust 3" × 3" internal cell structure, providing uniform strength and force‑deflection performance in both directions
Available in two thickness options—¾″ or 2″—TriPower panels come in standard sizes of 96″ × 48″ and 96″ × 40″ and weigh approximately 2.0 lb/ft²
Their closed-cell design ensures no internal accumulation of dirt or moisture, even when trimmed to size, making them easy to clean and ideal for hygienic or corrosive environments Cowtown Materials+15Paneltim+15Paneltim+15.
Processing and installation are a breeze thanks to compatibility with standard techniques like butt welding, extrusion welding, and hot air welding, along with common hand tools for cutting, drilling, and fastening. Plus, double ribs spaced every 2 ft facilitate clean edge cuts and simplify fabrication, while additional ribs at the 80″ mark support closed-edge door slab creation.
Designed with both practicality and sustainability in mind, the TriPower panels are UV‑stable, available in white (RAL 9010), black and euro beige. with custom colors available on request—but it’s advisable to avoid dark tones for outdoor applications.
And when the project completes, these panels don’t go to waste—they’re 100% recyclable and reusable, offering environmental peace of mind.

No internal accumulation of dirt
The internal cell structure ensures that the panels are always closed all around, even when cutting to size, avoiding ingression of dirt or moisture into the panels.
Processing
The panel can be processed using regular plastic construction techniques like butt welding, extrusion welding or hot air welding. The short welding cycle that Paneltim enables considerably quickens processing times.
Product Name
Paneltim TriPower Polypropylene Structural Panels (Sandwich Panels)

Special and Unique Features
- **Lightweight yet Strong:** Unique cross-rib cellular structure provides exceptional strength-to-weight ratios and rigidity, reducing the need for extensive reinforcements.- **Optimal Hygiene:** Sealed-edge design and non-porous, smooth surfaces prevent dirt, bacteria, and moisture accumulation, even when cut, making them easy to clean.- **Easy Processing:** Can be processed with standard woodworking tools and plastic construction techniques like welding (butt, extrusion, hot air welding), drilling, and screwing.- **Chemical Resistance:** Highly resistant to practically all chemical substances and ideal for corrosive environments.- **Thermal Insulation:** Hermetically enclosed air in the internal cells provides good insulation value.- **Durable and Impact Resistant:** Maintains elasticity, shock-proof, and highly resistant to dynamic shocks.- **100% Recyclable:** Environmentally friendly, free from toxic substances, and retain raw material value.- **UV Stabilized:** Available with UV stabilization for outdoor applications (light colors recommended).
Key Properties
- **Material:** Polypropylene Copolymer (PP COPO or PPCO)- **Structure:** Twin-wall sandwich panel with a unique cross-rib cellular internal structure (e.g., 3" x 3" or 50mm x 50mm, 100mm x 50mm).- **Thicknesses:** Available in various thicknesses, such as ¾″, 2″, 35mm, 50mm.- **Dimensions:** Standard dimensions like 96″ x 48″ and 96″ x 40″ (or 2600mm x 1000mm, 1200mm x 1000mm).- **Weight:** Lightweight, e.g., approximately 2.0 lb/ft² for 2" thickness.- **Temperature Resistance:** Tolerates temperatures from –20 °C to +80 °C (or freezing up to 65 degrees Celsius for some applications).- **Fire Class:** Fire class E according to EN ISO 11925-2 (fire retardant additives available).- **Colors:** Available in standard colors like white (RAL 9010), black, euro beige, light grey, blue, green, with custom colors on request.
Surface Compatibility
- Smooth, non-porous surface.- Compatible with standard plastic construction techniques like butt welding, extrusion welding, and hot air welding.- Can be drilled, screwed, and machined with standard hand tools.- Can be covered with a white protection foil on request.- Anti-slip profiles (buttons, checker plate, orange peel) are available for flooring applications.
Known backups / known substitutes
- **Plywood:** Paneltim panels are a lightweight alternative to plywood, offering better water/moisture resistance and durability.- **Solid Plastic Sheets:** Paneltim panels are lighter and require less reinforcement than solid plastic sheets for similar rigidity.- **Aluminum Composite Panels:** Can be a substitute in some structural applications.- **Fiberglass:** Paneltim panels can outperform fiberglass in some applications.- **Other Polypropylene (PP) Boards:** Such as ALVAboard, which are also hollow plastic boards with similar advantages over plywood.- **High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Panels:** Paneltim also offers HDPE panels, which share many similar properties with PP panels.- **Other Thermoplastic Sheets:** Depending on the specific application, other thermoplastics like ABS, PC, or even fluted polypropylene cores could be considered, though Paneltim's sandwich structure offers specific advantages.
Comparison Note
Paneltim TriPower panels offer a superior alternative to traditional materials like plywood, solid plastics, and even some metals and fiberglass, particularly where a combination of lightweight, high strength, hygiene, chemical resistance, and thermal insulation is required. Their unique cellular sandwich structure provides excellent rigidity with less material and reinforcement compared to solid sheets, leading to easier handling, faster installation, and reduced transportation costs. Unlike wood, they are impervious to water, rot, and mold, and unlike some metals, they are corrosion-resistant. They are also 100% recyclable, offering an environmentally responsible choice.
