VARIMAT 700 automatic welding machine features high contact pressure, ensuring consistent process reliability when welding thermoplastic membranes on flat roofs. Highlights include easy conversion from 230 to 400 V and an innovative swivel-in mechanism to insert the nozzle effortlessly and quickly into the overlap. The flexible rear transport axle provides for balanced handling and allows the VARIMAT 700 to track straight without correction. Depending on the application, it can be adjusted to accommodate either field seam or close edge detail welding.

The VARIMAT 700 automatic welding machine is designed for:

The increased contact pressure provides an advantage by compensating for unevenness in the substrate caused by fasteners, seams, or imperfections in the insulation. The sophisticated air partition concept, now separated from the pressure roller, prevents wrinkles during welding and ensures an attractive seam appearance while optimizing air flow. The Monitored Welding Assistant assures users that welds meet customer requirements and high-quality standards. If set welding parameter limits (temperature, speed, and air volume) are exceeded, the VARIMAT 700 emits an acoustic and visual warning signal. Like other Leister automatic welding machines, the VARIMAT 700 is also equipped with the proven Leister Quality System, also known as LQS-Roofing. This allows users to document weld quality and create GPS-supported data reports that can be saved and shared via the myLeister app.
In the event of undervoltage conditions (up to a maximum of 20%), the power management system assists to achieve and maintain the required welding temperature. As soon as undervoltage surpasses 20%, the VARIMAT 700 switches off automatically, as the set welding parameters can no longer be maintained, and weld quality may no longer be guaranteed.
To ensure that the correct welding parameters are set, Leister offers dependable welding profiles and a "library" of proven welding recipes in the myLeister app. Leister's Scandinavian customers desired an automatic welding machine to be equipped with an LED work light, so Leister engineers implemented this suggestion during the development of the VARIMAT 700. Thus, with this automatic roof welding machine it is possible to weld at dawn, dusk, or in unsuitable lighting conditions while optimally illuminating the welding zone. The large, user-friendly display with rotating adjustment knob makes the VARIMAT 700 intuitive to operate.
When developing this Leister automatic welding machine, input was gathered from roofers and material manufacturers and taken into consideration, which is additionally reflected in its functional design and suitability for construction sites. The brushless, low-maintenance automatic welder keeps service to a minimum, even with intensive workloads. Hybrid ceramic bearings were used for the blower motors, ensuring a long service life even under heavy loads. Delivered in a robust rolling transport case, the VARIMAT 700 can be transported easily, ergonomically, and safely. To accommodate individual customer requirements, the VARIMAT is available in two additional versions: VARIMAT 500 and VARIMAT 300.
