Silco formulates against the four problems that send people back to a joint a year later: poor adhesion to the substrate, seal failure under movement, color that does not match what the spec called for, and chalking or yellowing from UV. The range covers one-component silicone adhesives and MS hybrid sealants, which bond to a wider set of substrates than straight silicone and take paint, along with standard and custom colors.

Picking between silicone and MS hybrid usually comes down to two questions. Does the joint need to be painted, and how much movement will it see? Silicone wins on weather and temperature range but will not hold paint. MS hybrid handles paint, bonds to more materials and is easier to tool clean.
