Polytek

Polytek makes specialty polymers for mold making, casting and coating. Perigee Direct carries the line: liquid mold rubbers in polyurethane and silicone, urethane casting plastics, and casting foams for reproducing parts in wax, plaster, concrete, resin and foam.

Decorative concrete is where most of this line goes. If you are casting, forming or texturing concrete into stone patterns, wood grain or architectural profiles, the mold rubber is what determines how many pulls you get and how much detail survives. Polyurethane rubbers are tougher and cheaper per pour. Silicones release almost anything and handle undercuts, at a higher cost per mold.

The casting side covers rigid and flexible urethanes for prototype parts, props, signage and production runs where tooling a mold would cost more than the parts are worth. Foams handle lightweight fills and buoyancy work.

These products get used by engineers, manufacturers, craftspeople, designers, artists and fabricators, and the same rubber that makes a run of 200 concrete pavers will make one mold for one piece.
