Heartland Adhesives has been building engineering adhesives since 2006. Perigee Direct carries the core line: anaerobic threadlockers and retaining compounds, cyanoacrylate instant adhesives across viscosity grades, and the primers and accelerators that go with them.

Anaerobics cure in the absence of air between metal parts, which is what makes them work on threads, bearing fits and pipe sealing. Grade is the whole decision. Pick a low strength and the joint backs out under vibration. Pick a high strength on a fastener you intend to remove and you will need heat to get it apart.

Cyanoacrylates are a different trade-off. Thin grades wick into tight-fitting joints and set in seconds. Thicker grades fill gaps and give you a few more seconds of working time. On slow substrates like polyethylene and polypropylene, a primer is the difference between a bond and no bond, and an accelerator will pull cure time down when you are working in cold or dry air.
