Product Name
Small Ultra-Low Waste Mixing Nozzles for 50ml/1.7oz Cartridges (2-Inch 12-Element 1/8in ID)
Brief Description
These small, ultra-low waste static mixing nozzles are engineered for precise and efficient blending of two-part (two-component) adhesives, epoxies, sealants, silicones, polyurethanes, and other reactive materials dispensed from standard 50ml (1.7oz) cartridges. Featuring a 2-inch length and 12 internal mixing elements, they ensure a homogeneous mixture with minimal material waste, making them ideal for applications requiring accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Bonding and assembly of small components- Repair work in automotive, marine, and general manufacturing- Potting and encapsulation of electronic parts- Sealing and gasketing applications- Crafting, jewelry making, and artistic projects- Prototyping and small-batch production- Structural adhesive applications- Filling and gap bridging
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Aerospace/Defense- Artist, Artisan- Automotive Service/Repair- Cabinet & Woodworking- Chemical Industry- Construction/ Building Services- Electrical Services or Products- Energy- Engineering Services- Fabrication- Furniture- General Manufacturing- Government & Military- LED/Electronics- Marine- Metal Fabrication- Mold Making/ Casting- Plastic Fabrication- Prosumer- Sign & Display- Special Effects/ Scenic Design- Transportation/ Specialty Vehicle
Special and Unique Features
- **Ultra-Low Waste Design:** Minimizes material loss, leading to cost savings and reduced cleanup.- **12-Element Static Mixer:** Ensures thorough and homogeneous mixing of two-part materials without the need for external power.- **Designed for 50ml Cartridges:** Perfectly fits standard Type-A 50ml dual-component adhesive and epoxy cartridges.- **Disposable:** Eliminates the need for cleaning and simplifies the application process.- **Compact Size (2-inch):** Ideal for detailed work and applications in confined spaces.- **Consistent Mixing:** Delivers a perfectly mixed product every time, preventing failed bonds or weak spots.
Key Properties
- **Material:** Typically made from high-grade polypropylene.- **Inner Diameter:** 1/8 inch (3mm / 0.125 in).- **Length:** 2 inches (50mm).- **Mixing Elements:** 12 elements.- **Connection Type:** Designed for standard bayonet or twist-lock connections common on 50ml cartridges.- **Mix Ratios:** Compatible with common 1:1 and 2:1 mix ratio adhesives.
Surface Compatibility
These nozzles facilitate the application of adhesives and sealants compatible with a wide range of surfaces, including:- Metals (e.g., steel, aluminum, brass)- Plastics (e.g., ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, acrylics)- Composites (e.g., fiberglass, carbon fiber)- Wood and wood products- Ceramics and glass- Concrete and masonry- Rubber
Known backups / known substitutes
- **Larger Static Mixing Nozzles:** For higher volume applications or different cartridge sizes (e.g., 200ml, 400ml).- **Manual Mixing:** Hand-mixing two-part components, though less precise and more prone to inconsistencies and air bubbles.- **Dynamic Mixers:** Mechanized mixers used with meter-mix dispensing equipment for very high-volume or specific industrial applications.- **Different Element Count Nozzles:** Nozzles with more or fewer mixing elements, depending on material viscosity and desired mix quality.- **Alternative Dispensing Methods:** Single-component adhesives or pre-mixed, frozen epoxies for specific applications.
Comparison Note
These small, ultra-low waste 12-element nozzles offer a significant advantage over manual mixing by ensuring a consistent, bubble-free, and perfectly proportioned blend of two-part materials, which is crucial for optimal adhesive performance and cure. Compared to larger static mixers, their compact size and ultra-low waste design are specifically optimized for 50ml cartridges, making them ideal for precision applications, detailed work, and situations where minimizing material waste is paramount. While other static mixers exist with varying element counts or lengths, the 12-element, 2-inch design provides an effective balance of thorough mixing and minimal material retention for this cartridge size.
