Description
The Surebonder 925R10 is a clear, high-strength acrylic hot melt glue stick, a different chemistry from standard EVA hot melt sticks, built for bonding surfaces that EVA adhesives struggle to hold.
- Bonds aluminum, steel, glass, vinyl, concrete, and engineered wood.
- 60 to 80 second open time gives enough working time to position parts before the bond sets.
- 350F to 390F application temperature, 165F softening point.
- FDA 21CFR175.105 compliant.
- 1/2 inch diameter, 10 inch length, packed 25 lb per case.
Common uses include tacking reverse channel letters in place before the structural adhesive goes in, carpet tack strip installation, and cabinetry templating. Formerly sold by Chemical Concepts as the HM612 Hot-Melt stick.
Product Name
Surebonder 925R10 Acrylic Hot Melt Glue Stick, 1/2" x 10"
Brief Description
A clear, high-strength acrylic hot melt stick engineered to grip hard-to-bond surfaces such as aluminum, steel, glass, vinyl, concrete, and engineered wood. Originally developed to secure carpet tack strips to concrete, it has become a shop staple for fixturing sign letters, cabinetry templating, and general assembly on difficult substrates.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Rapid fixturing of reverse channel letters before applying structural two-part adhesives
- Cabinetry and countertop templating and build-ups
- Carpet tack strip installation on masonry and sub-floors
- Point-of-purchase display and fixture assembly
- General assembly on plastic, metal, ceramic, or wood
- Glass and acrylic bonding
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Cabinet & Woodworking
- Construction/ Building Services
- Countertop
- Flooring Installer or Manufacturer
- Food & Beverage Company or Distributor
- Furniture
- General Manufacturing
- Retail, Retail Stores
- Sign & Display
Special and Unique Features
- Acrylic chemistry bonds hard-to-bond surfaces (metal, glass, concrete) that standard EVA hot melts struggle with
- High green strength with a 60-80 second open time for working latitude
- Medium viscosity for smooth beads and gap-fill up to about 1/16 in.
- 165°F softening point withstands warm-weather transport and storage
- FDA 21 CFR 175.105 compliant for indirect food packaging contact
- Clear formula minimizes show-through on back-lit or stainless letters
- Formerly sold as HM612 Hot-Melt, same formulation under a new part number
Key Properties
- Acrylic hot-melt, clear, 100% solids

Known backups / known substitutes
No verified cross-reference substitute is documented for the Surebonder 925R10 at this time. It was formerly sold under the part number HM612; treat that as a legacy designation of the same product, not a separate substitute.
Comparison Note
Unlike the EVA-based 725, 735, and 738 sticks in this line, the 925R10 is an acrylic hot melt purpose-built for hard, non-porous, or difficult substrates (metal, glass, concrete) where standard EVA hot melt adhesion is unreliable.
