MixPac 2-Part 4:1 ratio 50ml empty Adhesive Cartridges with included Reseal-able Cap and Sealing Pistons. Used for filling and dispensing 2-part adhesives, epoxies, silicones, urethanes, and other 2-part fluids and compounds.
Special Notes:
- The included Pistons are the solid form-factor EPDM O-Ring / Rubber O-Ring style. So a piston bleed strip or bleed string/wire will be needed. It is most popular for the 4:1 ratio to use
- The Cartridge is made with Polypropylene (PP) and is compatible with most all epoxies, silicones, urethanes, polyurethanes, etc. The only material it is not compatible with is Acrylic-based formulas (MMA and MA)
MixPac Cartridge Part Number: AA 050-04-10-03 (116676)
Also equivalent with Nordson EFD Cartridge Part Numbers: 7702896, and 7702721
Available in 3 kit packages, plus Accessories:
- Empty Cartridges and related Pistons
- Starter Kit with Small Hand Plungers
- Starter Kit with Dispenser
- Useful Additional Accessories
Each kit includes different cartridge-count options… either 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 cartridges with the necessary cap and sealing pistons to close and seal the empty cartridges.
About the Cartridges:
These cartridges are for storing and applying adhesives that use a 4:1 mix ratio, where precise metering and mixing is needed. These cartridges include matching pistons and a re-sealable tip (or cap). They’re ready for filling with material, storing and dispensing. These 2-Part cartridges are industrial grade and silicone free. The cartridge design/fit using the "A-System", also known as "Square-Back". They also include an easy-to-reclose cap.
The 2-Part design keeps the two adhesive parts separate, until a mixing nozzle is attached, where the two parts are pushed or extruded into the mixing nozzle and bonding or curing begins.
And a key feature of this cartridge is it's automatic air-escape piston system, which allows air to escape as pistons are inserted, and automatically seals-off when the piston contacts the resin inside cartridge. But a special hand insertion tool is needed to insert the air-free pistons, see the accessories above.
About the Starter Kits:
Each Starter Kit includes either 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 cartridges, related sealing pistons and cartridge caps, mixing nozzles (one nozzle for each cartridge in your kit), and either one 50ml dispenser or small hand plungers depending on which kit you choose.
We recommend checking out our Starter Kits to get set up and running. Or if you prefer getting the dispenser separately, check out the MixPac DMA50 50ml Dispensers, which will enable you to dispense the adhesives out of these cartridge kits.

Product Name
MixPac 50ml 4:1 Ratio 2-Part Empty Cartridges with sealing cap & EPDM pistons AA 050-04-10-03 (116676)
Brief Description
This product consists of industrial-grade, silicone-free, 50ml empty dual cartridges designed for the precise storage and dispensing of two-part (two-component) adhesives, epoxies, silicones, urethanes, polyurethanes, and other reactive fluids and compounds. Featuring a 4:1 mix ratio, these cartridges ensure accurate proportioning of materials that require precise metering and mixing just before application. They come with a resealable cap and EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) pistons, and are part of the "A-System" or "Square-Back" design.
Popular Applications & Uses
- Filling and dispensing two-part adhesives, epoxies, silicones, urethanes, and other two-part fluids and compounds.- Structural bonding applications requiring high strength.- Potting and protecting electronic components from moisture, dust, and thermal shock.- Sealing and protecting boat hulls in marine environments.- Bonding various building materials such as concrete, wood, and metals.- Repairing and filling cracks in concrete structures.- Securing bolts and anchors in load-bearing walls and columns.- Chemical anchoring and dowelling in construction.- Applications in protective coatings and flooring.- Field work, repair tasks, and low to high-volume assembly operations.
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Aerospace/Defense: For bonding structural aircraft components, and potting/protecting electronics.- Automotive Service/Repair: In manufacturing for structural bonding, and for brake/cooling systems, weather stripping, and seals.- Chemical Industry: For packaging and dispensing various two-part chemical formulations.- Construction/Building Services: For bonding, floor coatings, crack repair, anchoring, and general building applications.- Electrical Services or Products / LED/Electronics: For protecting electronic components, and as electrical insulators or connectors.- Energy: Used in solar power installations, wind turbines, and other alternative energy projects.- Fabrication / General Manufacturing / Metal Fabrication / Plastic Fabrication: For assembly and bonding processes requiring precise two-part material mixing.- Marine: For building, repairing, and sealing boats and ships.- Packaging Services or Contractor: For packaging two-component adhesives and sealants.- Transportation/Specialty Vehicle: For various applications within the transportation sector.
Special and Unique Features
- Designed for precise metering and mixing of two-part materials, ensuring optimal performance.- Industrial grade and silicone-free construction.- Features an "A-System" or "Square-Back" design for compatibility with specific dispensing equipment.- Includes a resealable cap for convenient storage of unused material, preventing premature curing.- Equipped with EPDM O-Ring / Rubber O-Ring style pistons.- Incorporates an automatic air-escape (self-venting) piston system that allows air to escape during insertion, minimizing voids and improving material flow.- Keeps the two adhesive components completely separate until a static mixing nozzle is attached for dispensing.- Compatible with a wide range of industry-standard manual, pneumatic, and battery-powered applicator guns.
Key Properties
- **Volume:** 50ml- **Mix Ratio:** 4:1 (by volume)- **Cartridge Material:** Polypropylene (PP)- **Piston Material:** EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)- **Piston Type:** Solid form-factor EPDM O-Ring / Rubber O-Ring style, often self-venting/air-vented.- **Mixer Attachment:** Bayonet style- **Industrial Grade:** Yes- **Silicone Free:** Yes- **Temperature Tolerance (EPDM Pistons):** Approximately -50°C to +120°/150°C (-60°F to +250°/300°F) for seals.

Comparison Note
MixPac 50ml 4:1 Ratio 2-Part Empty Cartridges offer a significant advantage over one-part adhesives by enabling stronger bonds and faster cure times due to the chemical reaction initiated at the point of application. The two components are stored separately, contributing to a longer shelf life. This A-System cartridge features a common separation wall at the outlet, distinguishing it from the newer B-System cartridges which have separate outlets to further prevent cross-mixing. While the A-System's solid EPDM pistons may require a bleed strip or wire for air escape during filling, its self-venting design minimizes voids during dispensing. The precise mixing capabilities, achieved when used with a static mixer nozzle, are crucial for the proper curing and performance of two-part materials, which can be challenging to achieve consistently with manual mixing methods.
