LORD 406/19 acrylic adhesive is a high-performance, two-component structural adhesive designed to replace welding, brazing, riveting, and other mechanical fastening methods. Engineered for structural bonding applications, this LORD 406 adhesive delivers strong, durable bonds across a wide range of metals, engineered thermoplastics, and composites with minimal surface preparation.
This LORD 406/19 non-sag adhesive is formulated to remain in place on vertical and overhead surfaces, providing greater process flexibility during assembly and fabrication. It performs particularly well in low-temperature environments and applications exposed to high impact or high peel loads.
With a working time of 6–10 minutes and handling strength achieved in 12–17 minutes at 75°F (24°C), LORD 406 19 adhesive provides a balance of fast fixture speed and structural performance. The adhesive system also offers excellent environmental resistance against dilute acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, greases, moisture, salt spray, and weathering, while maintaining resistance to indirect UV exposure.
When mixed with LORD Accelerator 19, this LORD 406/19 structural adhesive is UL 746C certified.
