LOCTITE® MR 5923 Aviation Gasket Sealant is a slow-drying, solvent-based liquid gasket dressing for close-fitting parts, machined surfaces, solid gaskets, and threaded connections. It air-dries to a durable semi-flexible film, providing extended assembly time and service resistance to water, ethylene glycol, gasoline, motor oil, transmission fluid, and seawater.

The individual 16 oz brush-top jar provides controlled application without a separate brush and is suited to automotive, industrial, aircraft, and marine engine service.

Key Features

  • Slow-drying formula provides longer working time during assembly
  • Creates a semi-flexible sealing film by solvent evaporation
  • Designed for close-tolerance flanges and machined surfaces
  • Resists common automotive and marine fluids after cure
  • Brush-top jar supports controlled, reusable application
  • Operating temperature range: -65°F to 400°F (-54°C to 204°C)

Popular Applications

  • Solid gasket dressing
  • Close-fitting machined surfaces and flanges
  • Threaded connections
  • Aviation and marine engines
  • Automotive engine and maintenance assemblies
