Product Name
Leister 113.399 4mm (0.16 in) Round Screw-On Speed Welding Nozzle With Tacking Tip
Brief Description
This Leister 113.399 is a precision-engineered stainless steel accessory designed for use with compatible Leister hot-air welding tools. It facilitates high-speed plastic welding of 4mm round welding rods and features an integrated tacking tip for initial material fixation.
Popular Applications & Uses
- High-speed welding of plastic rods in various fabrication and repair tasks.- Tacking plastic sheets or components prior to main welding.- Installation of vinyl, linoleum, and polyurethane floor coverings.- Repairing plastic components such as car bumpers and kayaks.- General plastic fabrication, including tanks, containers, and pipes.- Sealing geomembranes in civil engineering projects.
Industries that Commonly Use It
- Plastic Fabrication- Flooring Installer or Manufacturer- Construction/ Building Services- Automotive Service/Repair- Marine- General Manufacturing- PVC Trimboard- Tarp, Fabric, Awning Manufacturing
Special and Unique Features
- Screw-on design ensures secure attachment to compatible Leister hot-air tools.- Integrated tacking tip allows for pre-weld holding and precise initial positioning of materials.- Constructed from precision-engineered stainless steel for durability and consistent performance.- Designed to direct hot air precisely onto the welding seam, preventing scorching of material edges.- Features a two-pronged design that allows the welding rod to glide smoothly through a round guiding track while hot air passes through the main nozzle.
Key Properties
- Material: Precision-engineered stainless steel.- Nozzle Diameter: 4mm (0.16 in) opening for round welding rods.- Connection Type: Screw-on.- Compatibility: Designed for use with various Leister hot-air hand tools, including TRIAC, DIODE, HOT JET S, LABOR S, Penweld, and Welding Pen models, potentially requiring specific adapters.- Functionality: Optimized for both speed welding and tacking applications.
Surface Compatibility
- Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)- Polypropylene (PP)- Polyethylene (PE), including MDPE, HDPE, LDPE- Polyurethane- Vinyl- Linoleum- ABS thermoplastics
Known backups / known substitutes
- Other Leister speed welding nozzles of varying sizes or profiles (e.g., 5mm round, triangular, or without a tacking tip).- Leister drawing nozzles that do not include a tacking tip.- Alternative types of Leister nozzles designed for specific applications, such as tubular nozzles or wide slot nozzles.
Comparison Note
The Leister 113.399 nozzle is specifically engineered with a 4mm round profile and an integrated tacking tip, providing a specialized solution for precise plastic rod welding combined with initial material fixation. While Leister offers a broad range of nozzles for different welding rod sizes, profiles, and connection types (e.g., push-fit), the 113.399 stands out for its dual functionality in speed welding and tacking, making it particularly versatile for detailed plastic fabrication and repair tasks.
