Special and Unique Features
- Blunt-end stainless steel cannula for safe and precise application.- Polypropylene Luer Lock hub with a double-helix thread ensures a secure, leak-free attachment to dispensing systems.- Compatible with both Luer Lock (twist-on) and Luer Slip (push-on) syringe barrels, dispense bottles, and various dispensing systems.- Olive color-coding clearly identifies the 14-gauge size.- Burr-free and electro-polished shaft design promotes unobstructed and consistent material flow.- Industrial grade, safe for use with fluid pressures up to 100 psi.- Manufactured in a silicone-free and chloride-free environment to prevent contamination of sensitive materials.- Available in a comprehensive range of lengths: 1/2-inch, 1-inch, 2-inch, 3-inch, 4-inch, and 5-inch.- Designed for high accuracy and control in fluid dispensing.- Durable enough for repeated use, yet economical for disposable applications.
Key Properties
- Material: 304 Stainless steel cannula, Polypropylene hub- Gauge: 14 Gauge (Olive color)- Connection: Luer Lock (compatible with Push-On & Luer-Lock systems)- Pressure Rating: Up to 100 PSI- Tip Type: Straight, blunt end- Lengths: 1/2-inch, 1-inch, 2-inch, 3-inch, 4-inch, 5-inch- Inside Diameter (14 Gauge): Approx. 0.062" - 0.069" (1.500 mm - 1.778 mm)- Outside Diameter (14 Gauge): Approx. 0.071" - 0.083" (1.820 mm - 2.108 mm)
Surface Compatibility
- Generally compatible with most industrial surfaces where adhesives, sealants, or lubricants are applied.- Stainless steel design helps prevent interaction with sensitive substrates, particularly in electronics assembly.- While this specific product is rigid, related flexible tips are ideal for sensitive surfaces to prevent scratching.
Known backups / known substitutes
- Tapered Dispensing Tips: Recommended for high viscosity materials to reduce backpressure and improve flow.- Flexible Dispensing Tips: Ideal for applications requiring scratch-free results, or for reaching into curved, problematic, or hard-to-reach areas.- Angled Dispensing Tips: Useful for precise application in confined spaces, deep shadows, or tight areas.- PTFE-Lined Tips: Specifically designed for cyanoacrylate adhesives to prevent premature curing and clogging, and for use with reactive materials.- All-Metal Dispensing Tips: Suitable for heavy usage and dispensing aggressive solvents or chemicals.- Brush Dispensing Tips: Used for spreading, marking, or coating applications.- Plastic Dispensing Tips: General-purpose alternatives, often available in tapered designs.
Comparison Note
Jensen Steel Straight 14-Gauge Dispensing Tips are a versatile and durable choice for general-purpose, precise fluid application across many industries. They offer consistent flow and robust construction. However, for extremely high-viscosity materials, tapered tips may provide superior flow characteristics by minimizing backpressure. For delicate substrates or intricate, hard-to-reach geometries, flexible or angled tips offer specialized advantages. When working with reactive adhesives like cyanoacrylates or aggressive chemical solvents, specialized PTFE-lined or all-metal tips are recommended to ensure optimal performance and prevent issues like clogging or material degradation.
