Description
The E-Z Dishwasher Bracket is a 24 in top-mount dishwasher mounting bar that spans the cabinet opening and carries the dishwasher without anything being drilled into the countertop. It’s stamped from 22 gauge galvanized steel and made in the USA by Construction Ventures Corporation. The bar screws into the cabinet sides at both ends, bonds to the underside of the top with silicone or rubberized adhesive caulk, and gives the installer a row of holes to catch the dishwasher’s factory straps. It goes in before or after the counter top is set, and the dishwasher doesn’t have to be on site.
Chemical Concepts is a listed authorized retailer for the genuine E-Z Dishwasher Bracket.

How Dishwasher Mounting to a Stone Countertop Works
A dishwasher ships with two straps meant to screw up into the underside of the counter top. That works on plywood and it doesn’t work on granite, quartz, or any other stone. The fix is a steel bar across the top of the opening that the straps catch instead. There are three ways to run it, and the install sheets cover each one.
Before the counter top is set
- Lay the bracket across the dishwasher opening on top of the cabinets, raised panels facing up, end tabs flush to the cabinet facing.
- Drive the four #6 x 1/2 in wood screws, two per end. Same screw size that hangs a cabinet door hinge, so it won’t split a face frame.
- Run silicone or rubberized adhesive caulk on the three raised panels.
- Set the counter top on the bracket. Squeeze-out gets concealed by the panel design.
- When the dishwasher shows up, screw its straps into whichever holes line up.
After the counter top is set
- Bend both end tabs to 90 degrees by hand, raised panels facing up. No tooling.
- Caulk the three raised panels.
- Slide the bracket under the top with the tabs flush to the cabinet facing and press it up against the stone.
- Screw the tabs into the cabinet sides, then caulk the edges for a finished seal.
- Attach the dishwasher straps to the bar.
Laminate tops
Same sequence as the after-the-top install. Bend the tabs, caulk the panels, press up, screw the tabs to the cabinet sides, then strap the dishwasher to the bar.
Runs under granite, quartz, engineered stone, solid surface, and laminate. The bracket never touches the appliance load to the stone and nothing gets drilled into the top.
Performance in Production
- 22 gauge galvanized steel across a 24 in span puts the door load on the bar instead of the cabinet sides, so nothing gets screwed into a finished end panel.
- The row of attachment holes means the installer picks the hole the factory strap already reaches. No drilling on site, no elongating a slot.
- End tabs bend to 90 degrees by hand, so a retrofit under an already-set top needs no tools past a drill.
- The three raised panels hold a caulk bead off the stone, and the profile hides squeeze-out. That matters when the top is already polished and the customer is standing there.
- The caulk line between the bracket and the top acts as the shock absorber for daily door slams instead of transferring that into the joint.
- Goes in before the appliance is delivered, so the top gets set and the crew leaves. No second trip to anchor the dishwasher.
- 0.3 lb and flat. Rides along in an adhesive or sink clip order with no added freight.
Common Applications
- Anchoring a dishwasher under a granite counter top
- Anchoring a dishwasher under quartz or engineered stone
- Solid surface and laminate countertop dishwasher installs
- New construction kitchens where the dishwasher isn’t on site when the top goes in
- Remodel and appliance replacement where the counter top is already set
- Jobs where side-mount anchoring would mean screwing into finished cabinet panels
- Countertop shops looking to cut return trips for dishwasher anchoring
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you mount a dishwasher to a granite countertop?
You mount it to a bracket that spans the cabinet opening, not to the stone. The E-Z Dishwasher Bracket screws into the cabinet sides at both ends and bonds to the underside of the top with silicone or rubberized adhesive caulk. The dishwasher’s factory straps then screw into holes along the bar. Nothing is drilled or cored into the granite.
Is a dishwasher mounting bar the same thing as a dishwasher bracket?
Yes. Dishwasher bracket, dishwasher mounting bracket, dishwasher mounting bar, granite dishwasher bracket, and top-mount dishwasher bracket all describe the same part. Our part code is DWBAR.
What size dishwasher bracket do I need?
A 24 in bracket covers a standard full-size dishwasher opening. The multiple attachment points along the bar handle small variations in cabinet width, so one length fits most standard openings. For an 18 in compact opening, call us at (800) 220-1966 and we’ll source it.
What adhesive do you use with the E-Z Dishwasher Bracket?
Silicone or rubberized adhesive caulk, run on the three raised panels. The install sheets call for it on all three installation methods. The caulk does two jobs, it bonds the bracket to the underside of the top and it absorbs the shock of the dishwasher door.
Will it work with quartz, laminate, and solid surface countertops?
Yes. The bracket installs under any counter top material, and the manufacturer publishes a separate install sheet for laminate tops. Because the load goes to the cabinet and the bracket, the top material doesn’t have to hold a fastener.
Can the bracket go in before the dishwasher is delivered?
Yes, and that’s the main reason shops use it. The bracket mounts on top of the cabinets before the counter top is set, so the appliance doesn’t need to be on site. Whoever installs the dishwasher later just straps it to the bar.
Is the E-Z Dishwasher Bracket made in the USA?
Yes. It’s stamped from 22 gauge galvanized steel in the USA by Construction Ventures Corporation, a family-owned company in Williamson County, Tennessee.
Are the dishwasher brackets listed on Amazon the same product?
The manufacturer says no. Construction Ventures publishes a notice that brackets sold on Amazon as E-Z Dishwasher Brackets are not their product, and that the ones they reviewed used thinner material, came with the wrong screws, had a poor finish, or had fewer mounting holes. Chemical Concepts is a listed authorized retailer, so what you get here is the genuine part.
Popular Uses: Dishwasher installation, securing dishwashers under granite or quartz countertops, replacing damaged or missing dishwasher mounting brackets, kitchen remodels, new countertop installations, appliance replacements, cabinet installations, and under-counter dishwasher support.
