Chem-Set CA500 is a clear, medium-viscosity cyanoacrylate super glue for fast, close-fitting bonds. Its 100 cP ethyl-based formula joins a wide range of similar and dissimilar materials, including selected plastics, rubber and metals. With handling strength in approximately 10 seconds in most applications, it is a practical choice for small-part assembly and industrial repairs where quick positioning and a discreet bond line matter.

Performance figures come from the CA500 TDS and are not guaranteed specifications. Bond strength and cure speed depend on substrate, surface preparation, gap and humidity. Published performance must not be assumed for expired stock.

 

Directions for Use

  1. Check that the parts fit closely. Clean and dry bonding surfaces, removing oil, grease and contamination with a substrate-compatible cleaner.
  2. Apply a small amount of adhesive to one surface and assemble promptly, spreading it into a thin bond line.
  3. Align and hold the parts undisturbed until handling strength develops. Use the substrate-specific fixture times as guidance, not a full-cure schedule.
  4. Allow the bond to develop adequate strength before loading. The supplied documents do not state a full-cure time; confirm the required cure period for your application.
  5. If needed, the TDS recommends Remove Debonder for excess adhesive. Confirm compatibility with the surface before applying any debonder.

Storage and Handling

Store in the original tightly closed container, dry and protected from sunlight, heat and ignition sources. The SDS recommends 41–50°F (5–10°C); the TDS permits unopened storage at or below 72°F (22°C). Keep moisture and contamination out of the bottle. Use adequate ventilation, eye protection and nitrile gloves. Do not use cotton, nylon or PVC gloves. Cyanoacrylate bonds skin and eyes in seconds and may irritate skin, eyes and the respiratory system. Keep out of reach of children and read the SDS before use. Intended for industrial use.
