CARE & MAINTENANCE:

Surface can be swept, mopped or hosed down as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners and abrasive pads as they can scratch the surface. If high traffic wear pattern appears, re-apply touch up Quick Seal & Enhance directly over the surface per application instructions. If Concrete Coat has been applied over the Quick Seal & Enhance sand affected area with 220 grit sandpaper, clean area and re-apply per application instructions.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Surface must be clean, dry, and in sound condition. Remove all oil, dust, grease, dirt and foreign material. Rinse with water and let dry. Recommended: Concrete Stain must be mixed into Quick Seal & Enhance 1 hour before application. Remove all existing silicone sealers. To determine if the surface is sealed with another coating or curing compound, sprinkle water onto surface. If the water is absorbed and the surface becomes darker, it has not been sealed. If the water beads up there is an existing coating that must be removed to allow proper penetration. After removing any and all silicon sealers, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry.

Additional surface preparation steps below

New Concrete: Dry to 13% moisture or less using contact meter method. New concrete must be fully cured, at least 7 days from the date of pour. Abrade hard-troweled smooth surfaces to 220 grit. Apply a mixture of 50% acetone and 50% water to remove slurry accumulated in the pores of concrete.

Existing Concrete: Abrade hard-troweled smooth surfaces need to be abraded to 220 grit. Apply a mixture of 50% acetone and 50% water to remove slurry accumulated in the pores of concrete.

APPLICATION:

Stir the container to re-suspend nanoparticles that have settled to the bottom. Re-stir every 15-20 minutes during the application process to ensure proper performance. Be sure to keep lid on container on to prevent evaporation of acetone from sealer. Recommended: Due to the wide variety substrates, always test Quick Seal & Enhance in an inconspicuous location to ensure desired adhesion and appearance are achieved. Quick Seal & Enhance is best applied with an acetone/alcohol proof pump sprayer fitted with a red fan tip. To apply, hold fan tip perpendicular to surface, approximately 10” to 12” above the surface being sealed. Spray with a light mist using a circular motion. Do not attempt to seal in one thick coat or unsightly air bubbles may form. Apply several light coats approximately 2 – 3 minutes apart until desired look is achieved and surface is sealed. Extremely porous surfaces may require 3 to 4 applications to seal and enhance. Ensure there is no chance of precipitation or dampening for at least 5 minutes after anticipated completion time. Blowing wind will affect the quality of the finish, may disrupt the spray pattern and can contribute to pollution of the finish. Recommended: erect a windscreen to protect the area prior to beginning the coating application.

CAUTION: If using spray application method in an enclosed space, tent off spray area using plastic tarps to prevent spray.
