Araldite 2011 epoxy structural adhesive is a slow set/slow cure, multipurpose, thinner, low-viscosity, room temperature setting, epoxy adhesive with high strength and toughness. This Araldite 2-hour epoxy is ideal to bond with a wide variety of materials, including most metals, ceramics, plastics, glass, rubber, stone, rock, ceramic, concrete, foams, glass, GRP, carbon fiber, fiberglass, Teflon and wood. It has a good electrical resistance and heat resistance and provides a long 2-hour working life. Once thoroughly mixed, it leaves a translucent pale yellow colored bond.

Araldite 2011 epoxy is a two-part, multipurpose, electrically insulating, structural epoxy adhesive. It cures at temperatures ranging from 20 to 180 degrees Celsius with no release or emissions of unstable or volatile compounds. It boasts a wide variety of users, from DIY & craftsman to Aerospace, Space, Aircraft, Manufacturing, and many other industrial applications.

The Bulk Pail version of Araldite 2011 is:

Araldite Cartridge Formula Araldite Bulk Resin Araldite Bulk Hardner
Araldite 2011 AW 106 HV 953U

The strength and the durability of this epoxy formula are exceptional but also practically dependent on what is being bonded together. If it's a weak or poorly-treated or poorly-prepared surface to begin with, the surface will fail before the epoxy. All grease, dirt, oil, paint, finishes, and coatings need to be removed before applying this epoxy formula. It can be applied manually using a spatula or dispensing applicator or mechanically or robotically to dry pretreated joints. For the greatest shear and peel strength, it is recommended to apply a layer of this formula of about .05 to .10 mm thick. As soon as the Araldite 2011 is applied, the joints should be immediately assembled and clamped, allowing proper cure.

Araldite 2011 is also known by its bulk resin names, Araldite AW106 resin & Araldite HV953U hardener. And Araldite 2011 can be ordered in a variety of package sizes: 50ml cartridges as Araldite 2859208, 200ml cartridges as Araldite 2859408, 1-Quart pail kits as Araldite 744908, and 2-gallon pail kits as Araldite 161040

Please Note: These cartridges are designed to work best with a 50ml or 200ml cartridge Dispenser, respectively. We advise you use a 50ml or 200ml Dispenser for all respective cartridges. If you do not have one, please check out our Dispensers, all are excellent products and have our 'it's good' seal of approval.

If you prefer not to use a Dispenser, all 50ml cartridge orders we sell will come with one manual hand plunger, as pictured, that you can use for fast small jobs. But the 200ml cartridges really need to use a 200ml Dispenser, they're just too big to easily use without the dispenser.

Teflon Bonding Using Araldite 2011 as the adhesive has proven successful when the proper procedures are followed.

Surface Preparation: Virgin PTFE is white in color and will not readily bond unless chemically etched with etchants such as Tetra Etch. Bonding other materials to teflon will also require proper surface preparation.

Adhesive Application: Araldite 2011, aka, Araldite AW106 resin and HV 953U hardener has been proved to work well. The adhesive should be applied both to both surfaces and be spread as uniformly as possible by means of a serrated spatula.

Curing: Application of even, light clamping pressure while adhesive is recommended.

Clean-up: Squeeze out adhesive, not cleaned prior to hardening can be accomplished using traditional machining or sanding methods.
