The product has excellent creeping properties, which fully penetrates all the tight thread grooves, and produces a quick hard bond within 10 minutes. It protects threads from rust and corrosion and has excellent shock and vibration protection. Loctite® Threadlocker 242® is well suited for applications on most all metal surfaces, including stainless steel and plated surfaces.
